Feminists: The foundational document of Feminism (Declaration of Sentiments 1848) birthed the Patriarchy Theory right off the bat.

1. Pushed for the Duluth model, where male victims were more likely to be arrested than their abusers;

2. Refused to acknowledge men have issues: "Men already have all the rights", "Men are privileged, they have no problems";

3. When confronted with facts, mocked and belittled men for voicing issues: "Men did this to themselves (because Patriarchy)", "Women have it far worse, so suck it up";

4. Believe that men of the present deserve to suffer in reparation for perceived injuries done to women in the distant past: "Women used to suffer this, so now it fair that men should suffer";

5. Called for men to support men's rights under Feminism, then promptly told them to shut up and to bugger off: "If you want to fix men's problems, you'd be Feminists" <<5 seconds later>> "if you don't have a vagina, you shouldn't speak", "this is a WOMEN's movement - if you want to talk about male problems, go start your own";

6. Say they care about male victims of domestic violence, then promptly turned around and organised protests AGAINST male domestic violence shelters;

7. Misunderstand (perhaps deliberately) basic concepts of equality and economics by pushing for equality of outcome vs equality of opportunity and by promoting endless wage-gap myths;

8. Are disingenuous to the disadvantages of men in areas where women hold significant advantages (eg. the spending gap where women make up 80% of consumer spending despite supposedly earning less than men, the sentencing gap where women are less likely to be convicted of crimes and even if they are convicted of the same crime, they serve sentences which are significantly less than men for similar crimes, the suicide gap, the life-expectancy gap, the retirement gap, the taxation gap, college-education gap, workplace injury and death gap, NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) gap, etc);

I could go on, but its pointless (or rather, high effort, low yield, high frustration work) arguing with trolls.

I do and the answer they constantly give is 'traditional gender roles' as if that's the only problems that men face. They are incapable of empathy that's why they don't do anything to help men. A big problem for them is they are incapable of accepting that women are entirely capable of hurting men through their own choices, they always have to blame the patriarchy for it. This is why more and more now I say feminists are not mentally fit to discuss the issues that they do. If you can't even accept that female paedophiles and abusers are responsible for their own actions then what good are you?

Short opinion: Their misdirected anger is bloody irritating.

Long opinion: I feel like most of those feminist are more radical. I wholeheartedly support women's equality but i find it hard to call myself feminist because the word reminds me of women who sounds like they want to disintegrate men in the pits of hell. And im not biased. At first i saw this subreddit and thought yall have plenty of rights in almost every history book, religion and culture on earth.

I would say, but that isn't equality if we ONLY focus on 1 side, equality is on focusing better lives with both sexes, not focusing on one sex.

Last time I talked with a feminist in person she more or less spoke over every issue I brought up about sexism in modern feminism with bullshit like calling Canada a rape culture, the wage gap, and just the whole 'ugh, men' attitude. Those are her only arguments. She's the type that says 'i know not all men are evil' but talks acts as if they're stupid overpowered assholes who touch girls while they sleep- unless they're sexy firefighters. Not real firefighters with a bar mustache and a bit of balding from the stress, those are creepy old men. Stripper firefighters.

Speaking of, why is it okay for women to objectify men, but a guy compliments their fucking hair and it's objectification & oppression?

I know this will get downvoted. the reason a lot of feminism is about men is because you are the original oppressors. by asking “what have you done for a man” continues the narrative of women having to do something for a man to be a real woman. feminists push EQUALITY because there are many inequalities women face. i don’t blame men for not knowing that because they have never faced it first hand, but it does happen more frequently than you would think.
