There are "bad apples" in every group...not just men.

All men should not be punished for the actions of a few.

All women do not want to be punished for the actions of a few. Nor is anyone asking all women to "do something" about their "bad apples".

Does Feminism weed out their extremists? No, they celebrate them.

Chauvinism, as defined:

exaggerated or aggressive patriotism.

I haven't really seen any chauvinism in this group. MRAs aren't united by nationality. Yes, many of us exist in Western society because that's where men seem to be under attack the most, but MRAs come from everywhere.

I'm not American, and I haven't felt excluded in any way because of this. I think you may not be using the right word here. This is a sex issue, not a nationality issue.

Men everywhere, in all nations, deserve the same rights and respect.

because it's a really simple and (until very recently) reliable way to dismiss the issues and end / derail the discussion.

What do you guys think we can do to fight those 2 problems, How do we get rid of the bad apples, and then how do we change our image in the media to help further our cause?

I'm not to sure how much we can do aside from not supporting those we consider bad apples financially and personally. I mean, if the media want to frame us, they are going to do just that. Same for activist groups. When they can't find anything tangible, they will just make stuff up aka invent things.

The other thing we can do is 'be the change we want to see' both in personal interactions and online.

MRA, or anyone who dares suggest actual equality of treatment both at a legal and societal level, are called names like that to dehumanize them inthe minds of anyone who may be in the neutral area. It allows feminists and male collaboraters to dismiss anything an MRA says out of hand while retaining the appearance (in their mind) of being righteous. Stalin, Lenin and Trotsky loved the tactic during the rise of Bolshevism, as did Khrushchev during the heyday of the USSR.

Roy Den Hollander was a nut. Unlike feminists, we have disassociated ourselves from the nuts. He was formally kicked out of the National Coalition for Men for being an anti-woman extremist. Even A Voice for Men found him too misogynistic and stopped associating with him. This was years before he started killing people. His first victim was the great MRA Marc Angelucci.
