I don't think "affair" is the right word, since it was a consensual relationship and Udoka is not married.

On why the woman hasn't been suspended, my best guess is bc she's lower ranking than Udoka, so she has not broken any rules. But since Udoka has a high ranking management position, he needs to disclose if he's dating someone lower on the totem pole than him, since it could be a power play/conflict of interest.

Here's an article on how some big tech companies handle dating in the office. (I know it's a different industry but it's the best proxy I could find.) Usually it's on the high-ranking employee to disclose and follow more rules.
