I remember in Ontario that Pink Day was actually for Gay Rights, Equality and Anti-Bullying. Weird to see the same concept used in such a different manner.

At highschool we used have those days too except it was for the "empowerment of girls" despite the fact that boys routinely get worse marks, drop out of highschool more and are less likely to get accepted to colleges.

At my kid's school the day of pink is for anti-bullying discussion, and it originated from the bullying of a (male) student for wearing pink. It's kind of broadened to bullying in general but specifically bullying gay kids, or bullying kids by claiming they are gay.

When I was in high school I'd be minding my business and some snudy female would instigate something and then get all shocked when I spoke harshly to them and then I'd get in trouble for causing trouble.. Equality in school for males just isn't a thing.

My high school had favored students. If you were a cheerleader / pom girl, football player, or our parent was on the faculty you got looked after and listened to. I was just some quiet kid who the faculty barely knew existed. I'd sign up for a class and each year they'd just put me in something random to make room for some favored student. My Freshman year was almost over and I signed up for a class but didn't get in because that meant the cheerleader with big tits wouldn't be able to get in. (She signed up after me and the teacher was this male who had all of the kids call him by his first name. Later I realized how much of a jerk he was.) I remember when I signed up. I went into his classroom and he sighed and said I guess.... You want.... To... Sign up for the class. He handed me the sheet and I signed up. I walked out and this girl I knew (she was really bitchy for no reason, I think it came from her basically getting everything she ever wanted) And the teacher just greets her entirely differently. Hey! You want to sign up!? Great! I wasn't a trouble maker and I didn't have bad grades.. He just didn't know who i was and the girl was fairly known because of her rich parents and she was on pom and it didn't hurt that she had big tits and the teacher was kind of a pervert..

I'll never forget one particular day. I had been put in home ec for a second year because one of my electives required permissions from the teacher to get in. (It was a public school but only specific kids could take certain ones..) So I worked part time at our local hospital and I had left early last period the day prior to get to work a little early to help get some things ready because there hospital was packed with patients.

Well I had missed an assignment. So I am in this home ec class and we had a substitute. This class was a joke. We did vocabulary words.. So I got my work done in the usual 5 minutes and the class a friend of mine was in the same room this period because their teacher had an emergency.

Everyone in the home ec class was bullshitting and playing around and I'm just sitting there staring into space. So I ask the teacher twice if I can ask my friend what worked I missed the day prior. She ignores me.. So I just walk over and begin to ask and the teacher loses it. You wait until everyone is done with their work before you go over and talk to them! I take a look at everyone else in the class who was just bullshitting. i knew they weren't going to finish.. They weren't even going to do the work at all... So I just kind of stand there and then go back to my seat.

We need to back track abit here on why the person I am going to mention didn't like me. There was this girl who was always giving me a hard time. I am not exaggerating. This is why she didn't like me. it is the only interaction i ever had with her and after that she was nothing but horrible to me.. I had been on the academic team the year prior so the coach asked me to help set up buzzers after school for the first night of team practice / try outs... So I did. I'm setting up these buzzers and this girl comes in and sits at the desk with the last buzzer i connected. The cables were short so in order to connect the next one I had to momentarily lift hers off of her desk. She looked at me and said, Uhhhh! Just so you know! You pulled my buzzer off of my desk! i just looked at her for a second and continued to connect the other buzzers while she moved to the other row of seats.

So back to the day in class with the substitute. This girl was in her corner seat by the door just blabbering on about how she didn't like so and so and making fun of the sub last name. So I'm aggravated. To me this is a waste of time. This is an hour of my life. I am wasting sitting here.. i did what i was supposed to do. I did my work, I sat quietly. i asked the teacher if I could speak with my friend a second about an assignment and was ignored so i took matters into my own hands and just went over and asked.. I got told to sit it my seat so I did and i did so quietly..

So now i'm mad. i mean I could have gotten that assignment I missed done by now, the teacher has me waiting on these other kids who didn't have after school jobs.. And I needed that job.. I needed gas to get to school.. I needed insurance.. I needed to save for my future.. I needed to eat. I needed school supplies.. So I had my watch timed to the bell. I'm still quiet. I'm furious but I'm quiet. So I go and i stand by the door and without knowing it I was tapping on an empty desk in anticipation to leave. I realized it and stopped and as soon as I stopped...

The girl from before in a snotty tone says, Can you tell him yo STOP he is bothering us! I hadn't said a word to her.. She was making it sound like I was harassing them.. And the teacher just gives me a hard time and tells me to sit down. She told me to sit down once. I'm furious. There is 5 seconds left before the bell. i am about to say something.. So I just walk out right as the bell rings before I do. And the substitute and the girl tell the normal teacher I just walked out of class early.

So the next day i go into class early because the teacher has a free period. I wanted to explain the situation and apologize. I tell her the entire story and admit I could have handled it better. She didn't listen to a word i said. She waited until i was finished speaking and said, Look, don't start anything with girl from before. She didn't hear one GD word.. And suddenly the girl comes into the room and as she approaches says, sw walked out of class yesterday! Clearly trying to start something. The teacher didn't say a word. After that I began to sneak out of class 15 - 20 minutes early. (It was a large room with 3 mini kitchens and a back door..)

This girl constantly tried to start stuff with me. One day weren't doing anything and i was playing checkers and a girl made joke about someone stealing her checkers date and the girl from before just says, Uhhhh who would want to date sw? I hadn't spoke not her all hour..

She was always just insulting me and saying rude things to me out of nowhere.. i never did naythign to her but the buzzer fiasco.. And the teacher never said a word to her.
