Not sure why you got downvoted, this isn't that bad of an explanation.
It's just important to keep in mind that patriarchy developed and continued independently in every branch of humanity for an evolutionarily advantageous reason. The primary mechanism of patriarchy is certainty of fatherhood, based on socially recognized marriage, which is essentially a man taking a woman as property. When a man knows children are his, he puts more resources into them than he might otherwise, and the tribe advances through the striation of those children who are better fathered over their peers.
I can see why classic feminists took issue with being property, but that doesn't mean their proposed system is more stable long-term, only more equitable. Individuals will benefit greatly at the expense of the group; this helps those individuals, but if the group dies out in the long term to the favour of a group that hasn't abandoned the patriarchal strategy - oh, say, Islam - then can feminists truly say they're doing more good on a longer scale?
