Discrimination against men is very real; discrimination against women is also very real. However, IT IS NOT THE FAULT OF AN ENTIRE GENDER. The patriarchy is to blame for most of the gender-based discrimination occurring today - a patriarchy established centuries ago, when women were told to play the role of the housewife and men of a supplier and protector for the family. This may sound like I am blaming the men, but that isn't the case. Yes, it was mainly men who created it. But that's in the past. Today, many, many men AND women are angry and frustrated with the gender roles they are forced to take on and are attacked when they try to break free. Men are expected to be strong, show no emotion and be sex machines. If they aren't, then they're "pussies" and "faggots". If they are, then they're jerks and assholes. All that I'm asking you, redditors, is to stop blaming everything on the women. I'm sure you'll say "but the women blame it on us!!1" THOSE ARE THE WOMEN THAT DON'T NOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING, AND CLAIM TO SUPPORT EQUALITY BUT REALLY PREFER MATRIARCHY. Real feminists support men AND women, just like real supporters of men's rights understand that a functioning society works only when men and women cooperate and respect each other. Don't hate women for being women. Don't hate men for being men. It's simple.
