Abortion was supposed to be safe, legal, and rare. Now they want abortion on demand up until the day of birth.

And now, men are supposed to sit down and shut up when it comes to women's issues.

Should only male doctors be allowed to treat male health issues?
Should only doctors who have experienced cancer be allowed to treat cancer?
Should only reporters who have played the sport they are covering be allowed to interview the players and cover the sport?

According to Gallup, the proportion of men and woman who are pro-life in the US are near identical. This has changed over time. Initially it was men who were the most pro-choice because they wanted a means to get out of being locked down for 18 years, but women were more pro-life because they wanted to be able to trap a man. This was back when men were the sole breadwinners and women needed somoene to provide for them. Once women started gaining independence and the ability to participate in the workforce, they started becoming more pro-choice and the proportions shifted to more women being pro-choice than men because men wanted a traditional family and women were moving away from it. Now it has settled closer to the middle where both men and women are equally pro-choice and pro-life on average.

This is not solely a feminist thing that only women should be allowed to speak on women's issues, it's more of a far left thing. They say the same thing about black people speaking on black issues, Indigenous people speaking on Indigenous issues, etc. It's a way to discriminate without actually saying you're discriminating.

Pro-abortion people are quick to kick and scream “men should have NO say!!”… … … unless you’re pro-abortion, then all of a sudden they’ll hang onto your every word. It shows me that that view is intellectually inconsistent.

Feminists have made it clear that they believe men have no right to an opinion about abortion, based on the "my body - my decision" framing of the issue. But this shallow and contrite framing of the issue insists that men have no right to an opinion about when human life, and human rights, should begin, giving women the sole right to decide who is human and who is not.

While abortion advocates have shot themselves in the foot by advocating for the right to abortion up to and immediately after birth, there is little to be gained in involving yourself in this issue. The primary opponents to abortion advocates are other women who believe that life is important and unique, and oppose parental rights of life and death over their children (outlawed since the 1600s in most western countries).

Better to concern ourselves with men's reproductive rights; i.e. the right to have access to an affordable effective male oral contraceptive, the right to choose whether to be a parent, the right to only be financially responsible for your own children (genetically, or voluntarily adopted), the right to not be financially responsible for children born to women who rape men.

I am happy to let women have 100% control of the discussion and decisions around abortion as long as men can walk into a safe haven and surrender all parental (including financial) responsibility for a baby the same as women already can.

I’d love to support women too, but since these are the same folks who say there’s no such thing as a woman (unless it’s convenient) … abortion is a human issue.

I agree, but the fact it is the women risking her health and her body supersedes a mans rights to an unborn kid since his health isn’t at risk from carrying it to term. This is a risk that is purely on the women and that means the issue is always going to be unequal because the effects on both parties are unequal

Modern techniques like embryo transfer and storage could offer a solution to this issue. A way to have your cake and eat it too. But, that is a different ethical battlefield because, to quote a response I got to this argument once, humans aren’t cows (still both mammals though)

When did women get a vote on this issue? And when did anyone care about their opinion?

This isn't a universal opinion among women. There are many women that feel it's a decision to be made with their husband or boyfriend.

...making me want them to lose.

If women lose the right to abortion then men "have ZERO say" even with women that would want to make the decision with them.

It's all about picking the lesser of two evils and I think overturning roe vs wade was the least evil choice they could've made.

Women feel that men shouldn't get a vote on what happens in their bodies.

Voting that women should control their own bodies is acceptable though because they aren't dictating what happens in women's bodies.

Voting that laws should govern women's bodies is not acceptable because men shouldn't control women's bodies.

For example, I think women voting that male circumcision should be legal is stupid, it's not their body to vote on.

However I think women voting that males should have bodily autonomy and circumcision should be a choice is acceptable.
