I have a theory,Maybe it will be confirmed or not.

My theory is that men in the past ignored women as an independent source of power.Always fight was between men, competition for resources between men.It was because men like challenges to overcome, problems to solve.They recognize the other men as they equal or superior and tried to win.Competition and winning is big part from men psyche.Even so called low status men want to win in their games.

These days women want to be recognized their independence as an independent source of power and more over challenge men by claiming superiority.

It will be interesting to see that time when they will be taken seriously by the majority of men and the competition that will issue.

Competition sometimes can be very brutal between equal competitors and with all the gloves off.You don't have any deference for your opponent(if it is equal with you why should you) you want to win.Respect in men's world in not given, it is earned.It will be brutal.
