The appropriate thing would have been to simply publish guidelines for any on-camera person (male, female, but also general principles that would apply for staff or spectators who could end up on camera)

As a side note, it would be reasonable if special interests wanted to point out statistics on how many "violations" occurred with female versus male athletes for awareness (so long as it's relevant and factual) -- if female athletes are in fact being mistreated more often, raise awareness; facts are facts.

However, there will be people who say these rules are part of "the patriarchy" (I saw an academic paper describe a phenomenon of "benevolent toxic masculinity" or similar which I think includes infantilizing women, presumably due to a perception of weakness or inferiority -- which I think relates to creating rules which "protect women"). I don't know if that's a good description of this situation, but it's relevant.

But regardless, as per usual, we get written policy that contemplates only the concerns of women instead of simply focusing on who might be victimized. It's obvious bigotry to go out of your way to exclude people unnecessarily when trying to "protect people"

Who are the people making and approving these rules? Is it just an echo chamber, or are the dissenters too afraid of being pushed out? This is definitely a pattern we see in institutions producing shitty, bigoted garbage like this.

Honestly, I think this is a good regulation IF ONLY it's applicable for both gender, the sexualization of male athletes in tiktok are endless. The sad parts is, many of the those male athletes are underage, especially in the diving categories in asia, they are all over douyin, tiktok, and youtube.

Because they want to punish and demonize men. Demonize male lust and put this idea out there that its wrong for men to even have these feelings. But women are allowed to have them.
