A man that has been falsely accused will be paranoid of every sexual interaction with a woman.

Imagine knowing you done nothing wrong but you’re paranoid because the dynamic with you and said women didn’t end on good terms. But because you were falsely accused you sit and wonder if you’re gonna get a knock on your door.

You know even though you’ve done nothing wrong the right prosecutor can take you through the wringer..that shit fucks with you.

ok lets dive into this a little bit deeper... there are roughly 17k homicides "2024" and roughly 49k suicides per year in the us... how women violate consent does not get acknowledged properly -> we can see it in sexual violence and domestic violence data... (lie about contraception or take advantage of drunk men)

Nearly half of the women (48.7%) and 40.0% of the men have experienced psychological violence in a (former) partnership at least once in their lives. Emotional violence accounts for the largest share of the forms of psychological violence recorded in LeSuBiA, at 37.8%. Although women are more affected over the course of their lives, an analysis of the last five years shows that men are also comparatively frequently affected by psychological violence (men: 23.3%; women: 23.8%) and, in particular, by controlling violence (men: 8.7%; women: 7.1%).

16.1% have experienced physical violence in a (former) partnership at some point in their lives, and 5.7% within the last five years. Looking at the last five years, women (5.2%) and men (6.1%) experienced physical violence almost equally often.

Almost half of all respondents (45.8%) have experienced sexual harassment at some point in their lives. More than a quarter (26.5%) of those surveyed reported experiencing sexual harassment within the last five years. Over a third of women (34.7%) and about one in seven men (14.5%) were affected by sexual harassment without physical contact in the last five years. For sexual harassment involving physical contact, the figures are 14.5% for women and 4.6% for men. Perpetrators are predominantly strangers or casual acquaintances.

More than one in ten people (11.2%) have been victims of sexual assault in their lives, with 2.7% of respondents experiencing this within the last five years. Here, too, women (4.0%) are significantly more affected than men (1.4%). For women, the perpetrator was most often an ex-partner (46.5%), while for men it was a casual acquaintance (33.3%).

More than one in five people (21.2%) have been affected by stalking at some point in their lives, and 9.0% have experienced it within the last five years. Here, too, slightly higher prevalence rates are observed among women: 10.6% of women and 7.0% of men have experienced stalking within the last five years.

One in five women (20.0%) and one in seven men (13.9%) experienced digital violence in the last five years. The victims are comparatively young – over 60% of 16- to 17-year-old girls and around 33% of 16- to 17-year-old boys have been victims of digital violence in the last five years.

Many publications will withhold the name if an accusing woman but publish the name of an accused woman. Why should the one making the accusation deserve anonymity? Clearly they are just assuming the man is guilty. It’s do biased.

I agree - it shows the total and complete disregard they have for men who are accused.

And although logically it seems like false accusations would hurt 'real victims', in practice it hasn't seemed to. Society doesn't even consider false accusations at all and operates under a "believe victims" mantra. Over the decades since this motto has been used, the fanatical anti-male and pro-female stances have only deepened. No woman today is facing any kind of uphill battle due to false accusations.

I do not mind it if it is an “on top of this, false accusations hurt real victims”.

What mostly galls me is the result of people trying to downplay or memory hole false accusations based on that reasoning. Because they think making them widely known would hurt victims.

Especially because that is the dumbest thing you can do.

False accusations do take time from police and courts that would be needed for other victims, not just those of sexual assaults. And of course people will be more doubtful if a false accusations is a possibility.

…but that should be exactly why you need strong deterrents against false accusations, so that they become rare enough not to cause those issues.

The idea that you can just ignore the problem does not work. Regardless of the situation.

In the long run, the interests of the innocent, be they those falsely accused or those who have actually been victimized do align anyway.

The big problem is that people based on some warped moral utilitarianism will advocate for things like treating false accusations leniently to “help real victims”, when in fact all they do in the end is create a reality where people eventually will know that a false accusation is cheap to make and judge accordingly.

Groups like AWDTSG churn out false allegations daily and they don't even care if there's a kernel of truth.

The users have no problems with false allegations because they think it's not as bad what the allegations actually claim.

They'll have no problems with 99 false allegations as long as 1 is true.

Don't believe me... Ask one.
