It would look ridiculous to say "The boy's mother believes killing him amounts to murder." They would never write that because SHE'D BE RIGHT. Killing IS murder.

Yet they don't do the same for what IS genital mutilation.

If the boy got held down and ass-raped would they write "The boy's mother believes the forced sodomy amounts to rape."?!?! NO! Because that's what it is.

This is no different: circumcision is genital mutilation.

There is a direct quote. They acknowledge it when quoting her by putting "inhumane" in quotes, and citing other things she has said.

In fact, we KNOW she said "This is mutilation" and the author, instead of quoting her, chose to make circumcision look acceptable by saying "She BELIEVES it's mutilation" as if it's just an opinion.

We know she said it's mutilation because they QUOTE her as saying it in the next paragraph.

"my only hope is to raise awareness of MGM"

Now how evil is that? For her to say "This is mutilation" and for the author to say "She believes it's mutilation."?!

Lol, yeah I don’t own any Nuclear weapons so I keep my views on them to myself, what do I know about Nuclear War? Could be a good thing, but until I have my own personal one there’s no way of telling.

What are you doing on this subreddit exactly? Did you somehow miss the name?

This is a community concerned with the human rights of men and boys, not a place where the only injustice and discrimination we are allowed to address are the ones that you think are important.

We get it, you mutilated your son(s) and are obviously defensive. Guess what, so did thousands of other people that have come to regret violating their son's right and now work against the practise. It's painful to admit you made a mistake you can't take back---that's an understatement. But don't get a pass for being an asshoke forever or trying to undermine the work we're doing to protect children. The bar is set so low that one can't say we're asking for too much. Saying "I cut off a part of my son's body and wouldn't do it again would be nice" but just refraining from posting excrement like the above would be enough.
