I've come across this attitude again and again. And even when they acknowledge that men have valid issues, they say that this time the focus is on women, so don't bring men into it this time; next time it can be about men -- except just as tomorrow never comes because it is always one day away, that "next time" never comes. With them, this time "just happens" to be about women -- every time.

It’s because the public discourse specifics endorses female issues while completely ignoring men’s issues. So when someone brings up X female issue it’s already been talked about by everyone and their sister so then someone says “what about this other issue that has far less of a spot light on it”

It’s just asking not to stray away from the topic at hand. It’s very easy for a thread to be hijacked, but it’s simply easier to say something to the affect of, “I understand these issues doesn’t solely apply to women, but at the moment, we would like to keep the topic focused on women” instead of being passive-aggressive about it.

And if you see something wrong with that; well you’re in the wrong sub-Reddit.
