Everyone has heard the line about how all the gender specific problems men face is due to "patriarchy" (e.g. society, well of course it is caused by society to some extent), and how feminism will fix it.

Everyone also knows that feminism only helps men by accident, or as collateral damage when fixing something for women - they might say they fight patriarchy, but there's clearly a bias towards only helping women (due to the critical theory idea that helping a "powerful" group is always bad, or simply because they're not interested in it).

There's now a deep gender divide in elections. Women used to be more conservative, but now it's men, and it's a very noticeable split with young men / women.

The question is, what next? Democrats could realise that women are going to be "rusted on" as long as the GoP is anti-abortion (yes, there's Christian-right women but they're also rusted-on); and stop playing too much identity politics against a group that will actually swing. Or maybe they'll double down.

But whatever happens, I don't think young men are buying the line that feminism is good for men anymore.
