It's funny how they preach about how feminism isn't a girl's-only-club, yet whenever you criticize feminism, all of a sudden you're guilty of hatred towards women.

If feminism isn't just for women, then why am I accused of hating women, just for criticizing feminism?

I like how saying "No, a lot of women don't live as second class citizens" is some sort of radical opinion in their view. I guess i will take my sources and oodles of personal experiences and shove it up my ass huh?

Like as a man i am offended by this level of shit by media outlets, but a lot of people forget the actual women living in actual patriarchal societies. Where doctors can't tell the sex of a baby out of fear the parents would abort if its a girl , where disobeying your husband enough times causes you to get hanged in the streets with other "bad wives".

Like it always make me feel bad to think an american women who see the pink razors as being a few more dollars than the average male razors thinks they are oppressed when there are countries women who can't leave the god damn house without a male escort, like it boggles my mind.

I mean, you will see a lot of anti-feminism on this sub, largely because the feminist movement has worked hard to impede progress for men and boys, ie opposing shared parenting and the end of lifetime alimony...

What it pretends it is: A collection of activists sharing news about infringement of “women’s rights”, in an attempt to make sure women have equal status under the law and within society.

What it really is: Shedding it’s noble original mission statement, feminism has devolved into a man-hating, female supremacist movement. Posts advocating killing all men, glorifying violence towards men and blindly denying that women have made any progress in today’s society are more commonplace than anything else.

That's what I was told, when looking for groups that thought like me. I came here anyways and it's absolutely nothing like that. The majority of people here are completely civil and open to conversation (far more than feminists) and often include women's issues in discussions. I've never been happier I was wrong about something, and I'm so happy I found this group.

I don’t deny that the same disparity of what the sub is meant to be and what it really represents is present in r/Feminism. But I will say that vice is not wrong about r/MensRights. There are some genuine users and posts, but there is also some horridly disgusting content.

I do think there is a tendency towards more and more radical and unnuanced views in the active parts of the MRA movement. This tendency does not make Vice's condemnation justified, but it does provide fertile ground for cherry-picking to support such a conclusion.

The same, of course, goes for feminism - to an even larger extent than for us, I think, but there of course I may be biased.

This concerns me, as it makes it likelier that concerns will not be addressed.

They got one thing right - I've seen a lot of people on this sub defending rapists. They were practically frothing at the mouth that Brock Turner, Harvey Weinstein and Brett Kavanaugh are all innocent and that a feminist conspiracy theory is to blame.
