The easy part of that question to answer is "was it abuse" -- yes it really was.

But why... a lot more complex. Could be a bunch of things but some of what they were doing was highly predatory, and that tends to be a learned behaviour.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. Yes, it was abuse. It was sexual abuse and possibly physical abuse, i.e. pretending to spank you. I can see how this would affect your ability to trust anyone and cause/contribute to depression. Perhaps counseling could help you work through this, and definitely NC with your sisters, if you have not done that yet. Sadly, no one knows why they or anyone would do that. They obviously have mental issues.

Dude, that's total abuse. Unfortunately this is quite common. I had been molested several times when I was a kid, each time by a woman. At the time it made me uncomfortable but I figured it was normal plus I didn't say anything to my parents because I was embarrassed, thus allowing them to get away with it and perhaps abuse other boys. I never had that problem with men.

Your sisters are seriously messed up. I'd break all contact with them if I were in that situation.
