Almost 100 percent of the responses I've seen have been, "Well nobody should be drafted!" It's so ignorant of the history of the world and conscription, but it allows them to still say, "See feminism is for men too!"

I'm against the draft but these days it's an old dinosaur and a dead issue. Even without it if things became so bad the government would just create a draft out of necessity. I just like how the idea of it and the trouble of having to register or risk legal problems bothers them so much that they are willing to opt out of "equality." Yeah, no surprise there, ladies.

I don’t think anyone should be drafted regardless of gender. If the world leaders can’t come to a peaceful understanding and want to fight, then let them. Don’t let innocent people die fighting their battles for them, while they sit comfortably in their office or at home not caring about those that die. I’m already upset that my husband had to sign up for the draft, because even though it’s not around it could come back.

The equality should be retrospective, meaning that men who did not register in the required time frame should not suffer consequences, the same as all the women who were never required to do so.

This kind of reaction from women is very unfortunate. But what saddens me more is to see that even 1st world countries like the US have conscription till this day. Even if it's a redundancy and provides college aid and other benefits for those who register.

I'm a man from India and we never had conscription and yet have the world's largest armed forces. I know what works for India won't work for other countries due to difference in socio-economic conditions but damn it this is an antiquated law and needs to be changed. People shouldn't be forced to do what they don't want to especially join the armed forces.
