I don't want upvotes here, I'm just genuinely curious about interactions concerning men's issues. So I was randomly browsing reddit on /r/all, context doesn't matter too much, but eventually I ran into someone claiming that women face 99 times more problems than men, so here's how I responded....

I thought what I said was reasonable and not even polarizing, but I got downvoted fairly heavily considering the post was old. Why? I want to think that it was just my fault and I should phrase something differently next time.

But is it really just that people are THAT unwilling to hear about men's issues at all? That's depressing to think about, but if that is the case then how do we even make progress on getting people to listen to us?
