Because feminist say that is what they should think. Most could not name any goals or objectives of the MRM movement. Most have no idea that many of the MRAs, and some of the most outspoken and noteworthy advocates are, in fact, women.

They simply read the general media, listen to the accusations, the assumed arguments of those that seek to continue to disparage any counter argument that would unmask their agenda.

Remember something. Feminism exists today only as a function of censorship.

If anything feminist subs are the ones which are echo chambers. Feminist subs constantly ban people and censor speech that doesn't go along with the feminist ideology, whereas this subreddit operates on the basis of free speech and hardly anybody gets banned unless they're legitimately spreading hate.

In light of that, it's very funny to me that we're the ones who get perceived as "miserable" and "intolerant".

Categorical denunciations simultaneously dehumanize the people in the category (ci-devant, former persons, lebensunswertes leben, kulak, counterrevolutionary, reactionary, bourgeoisie, capitalist roader, white supremacist, misogynist, sad, pathetic, etc.) while absolving the denouncing party of any moral duty to treat the target like a rational human being who may have some valid grounds/argument for his grievances.

Because it is easier to defame your opponent so you don't have to take them seriously. Feminism is considered the norm for anything to do with equality. When you talk equality, feminism always comes up. They have a monopoly on the whole thing, so when the topic of men's rights are brought up, it is seen as a threat to feminist agenda, so it has to be ridiculed and silenced.

Of course, the reason that it is seen as a threat to feminist agenda is because feminists know they don't do shit for men's issues, so men trying to voice out their concerns and issues is a big reminder to them that they aren't about equality. That's why there is so much effort to characterize men's issues and its advocates as misogynists who can't get laid. Notice how the shaming tactics come into play here? For all their talk of equality, they sure seem to behave really nasty to others. Again, it's all part of the effort to ignore the points and attack the person instead of their arguments.

If you can make the other side seem extreme or unreasonable. You no longer have to contend with their actual arguments. If they weren't extreme, they'd have to address the arguments. It's just a cheap way of discounting the other side, and it doesn't just happen here.

Actually things have started to turn over on feminists. No one cares about men still, but people are starting to see feminism as ridiculous and purposeless more and more.

The stereotype of the raging misandric feminist is becoming more mainstream. Unfortunate for those feminists who are more egalitarian-minded, but that also means those feminists would need a new group if they want to either preserve self-image or be taken seriously. Enter MRM/egalitarianism.

The issues women face tend to be much bigger than the issues men face. Kinda like how this sub likes to make false rape claims a big deal... The false claims are an extremely small percentage of authentic claims, and that's not counting how massively rape is under reported.

It's like being in a war zone and dismissing the starvation, bombs and lack of shelter of the civilians caught in the middle, and saying soldiers are the real victims because they sometimes get shot.
