Why? Because political correctness and ever increasing influence over young minds by gender equality (feminist) lobby. They are mind-washed to believe they are oppressed on their every step and given a platform (twitter and other social media) to easily express how they got triggered by something trivial.

They are given the status of victims in any matter most matters* by general media (reporters take their side, harass and portrait the men's rights side as the oppressor) which then in turn enforces their beliefs. And every time they hear something related to men's rights they assume it's done with the sole purpose to harm them.

It's an ever increasing pandemic and using social media is one of their ways to easily "protest" against these men's rights topics/events and have achieved easy victories in the past, effectively censoring things they don't like.

They also like to hide behind semantics, by saying they are pro equality, implying "equality for women must universally mean equality for men too". Then they turn around and protest most things to do with men's issues. Basically they are almost solely interested in issues where the balance is in favour of men and try tipping those in favour of women. And leave those issues that are in favour of women alone and cry foul when men fight to tip the balance to equality too. It's a really annoying phenomenon that we're getting exposed to more and more.

And my comment turned into a rant, sorry.

It's misandry, plain and simple. It's "how dare one of YOUR kind talk about having problems." And this hatred and disregard for men stems from the core of feminism - teaching women that they get the short end of the stick in every situation, making women feel like victims of everything - which only naturally makes them feel jealous and angry about the fact that men have things so much better than them.

Why did you archive this? Surely we would want to give this article links?

There's an older submission with the original link, give that a click too. https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/3k2ckg/why_does_speaking_out_about_the_issues_men_face/

this was my thought to.

It's a nice little article that speaks honestly about a problem, but I'm left discouraged by the lack of any... Call to action, or 'we have top men working on this'.

To some extent, it feels a bit like an oil spill in a remote region.

Oh no, here's a horrible thing that's going to ruin the environment for decades to come! And there's a top team of specialists.. wait, no. There's a group of volunteers.. uh, sorry, that's not allowed either. Ummm... Well, alright. People that avoid detection as they volunteer to clean up will not be shot on sight by the guards posted to cover this whole thing up. Cheers!

You'll forgive me if my enthusiasm for raging against the machine is little more to set up a lawn chair and watch the world burn.

Because doing so undermines the foundations of feminism. This, in turn, would shatter the egos of millions of SJWs and cast doubt upon the institutionalized, vested interests that feminism justifies. I don't see a way around this conflict, aside from the MRM turning into a mouthpiece for feminism.

Even talking to women about questions pertaining to their sex without meaning to get offensive by simply asking out of sheer curiosity, and they become rude bitches instantaneously as if you're the bad guy. If they were to ask guys if they have any questions pertaining to their sex, they would not encounter any sort of hostility which is completely unequal and certainly we wouldn't be rude assholes to them for asking the question in the first place.

Because how dare you be an "uppity" man. Learn your "place".

[–]Drakaris 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why, don't you know? Because the world must only talk about vaginas, free tampons, how fat is good, hair everywhere is awesome, "feels"... Generally the world only needs to bitch about bitches bitching about shit no one cares about...
