...No. If theres an accusation, the standard of innocent proven guilty applies. Nobody is guilty until proven so.

The societal standard, especially right now, and even six whole days ago, women are believed at a massively increased rate as compared to a man, even when they are lying, and it is eventually proven or they admit to it. This also applies to sexual assault and domestic violence.

Finally, after decades, men are actually being believed, its not easy, but its happening. Several decades to centuries(depending on country) after women had that same right. Part of the issue is people don't want to believe women CAN rape, which is why rape of men by men is more believed, because men can be the bad guy, women aren't, in our minds.

Its part of why most every case of rape that goes to trial, and the perp is a woman, they get to take a ludicrously light plea deal. Prosecutors straight up don't think they can get a conviction if they go to jury trial, which, is accurate.

As Bill Burr once said "You know how much of an asshole i'd be if it were socially unacceptable to beat the shit out of me?"

Its possible here that shes thinking about like when a man gets raped by another man in prison or some such, especially since people who think this way often dont even believe a man CAN be raped by a woman ( by some sort of bs definition technicality).

Assuming thats the case, it almost does make sense. Sure, anyone is going to feel embarrassment coming forward about rape, guy or girl; rape is admitting you were vulnerable and taken advantage of. However, for a guy to be raped by another guy, its often seen as like the ultimate embarrassment. Often mentally he feels that not only is it a sign of his weakness to allow it to happen, but that it was something gay that happened to him, and that he may be seen as gay for it. Even for someone who is progressive and cool with gay people, to have to be raped by another man is a severe breach of their sexual preferences and wont sit well with them at all. I imagine that rather come forth with this, they would take it into their own hands with revenge, either trying to beat the guy up or ruin his life somehow. For a straight guy to come forward and admit this embarrassment, instead of bottling it up or silently enacting vengeance, you know its taking a lot from him and hes probably telling the truth.

The problem with women is that while yes, rape is embarrassing in that they were exposed to be weak and vulnerable, as the men were stated to be above, it is NOT the ultimate embarrassment. For starters, women as a whole already have sex with dudes. The reason its considered rape is because it isnt the right dude; maybe she thinks hes ugly, already married, poor, stupid, or some other reason and this makes him unworthy of her. The problem here is that women are also usually obsessed with status. If someone find out about her relationship that she didnt want to (such as a parent or girlfriends) and that person is one of the status conditions mentioned above, or if she bas a boyfriend and is cheating on him, she could very well feel like its LESS embarrassing to “admit” she was raped than to admit that she chose to be with that person on purpose and deal with the fallout.

In that regard, shes right. People are a lot more suspicious of women than men, and they’re right to be.
