Technically yes, so are all women , in the same way everyone is a potential every sort of criminal you can think of . (Isn't that obvious?) Should you never be alone with someone because they are a potential murderer?

Shouldn't they be taking precautions to protect themselves from rape by not getting drunk or going dorm room / house alone with guys they don't want to sleep with?

No, women shouldn't as a group have to live restricted lives based around rape risks like muslim women do, they shouldn't be literally treating us all like potential rapists, is that what you want?

Well the literal counterpart to AWALT would be AMALT but as a concept what you propose is not a bad one. Although I might change that in this day and age to be that anyone might be a rapist, not just men (Could be at a gay bar, robotic in the future, future people from southpark).

Given that most rapes are committed by someone the victim actually knows, then yes to not going alone into a room with a guy unless you intend to have sex with him. This makes perfect sense.

And given that most cases of "regret" involve getting way too drunk, then you shouldn't get wasted in the company of men. This makes perfect sense also.

Funny how the old fashioned rules of virtue and decorum are sometimes right.

Everyone should assume strangers they don't yet know are rapists, serial killers, psychopaths, thieves, those weirdos who don't like Nutella, whatever. You can ease up on this and begin to relax more once you begin to see behaviour in the other person which suggests they aren't all those things.

That said, while you obviously shouldn't isolate yourself from everyone over these possibilities, I don't believe you should ever place full trust in anyone either. Statistically you are most likely to be murdered or raped by someone you know and trust. Letting your guard down is dangerous. Be aware of what people are capable of.

I also advise avoiding emotional attachment to all but a small group of people who you have reason to believe truly deserve it, because ultimately emotion is weakness.

...But I think I'm going off on a tangent now.

Sure women too.

But women don't have dicks (handy for penetrative raping), nor high testosterone levels (handy for aggressive non-rational shit), nor the same impulsive seemingly always ready to fuck sex drive, nor the size/strength (hence the confidence) to successfully pull off a good ol' raping.

This would lead me to believe that "all men are rapists" is a better heuristic than "all women are rapists."

However, just like "AWALT," it's best if you don't walk around assuming the absolute worst of everyone.

Yes, I've been told here that most rapes are by people known to the victim so being very wary with people you know and possibly trust and not putting yourself in situations such as being alone with them would seem prudent.

A better counterpart to AWALT would be something along the lines of:

If you get fat and bitchy and your man has the opportunity to cheat and trade up with a younger, hotter woman, he will. AMALT.

We tell guys AWALT so they stop thinking thier girl is some special snowflake who "isn't like all the other girls". No, if you neglect your chick and leave her with Chad too often, at some point she will fuck him. Some chicks will fuck him the first week, some might take considerably longer, but on a long enough time scale, all women would do it.

Any and every woman will cheat on your if the circumstances all line up. AWALT.

This is really two separate questions.

Are all men potential rapists? Depends on the circumstances. I bet a lot of the soldiers who commited rapes during war would never do it in peacetime.
Should all men be viewed as potential rapists? At least men who have not proven themselves trustworthy.

but really no. AWALT just says that women will act like women based on their biology. Men will try to get sex based on their biology, they will not rape except in extreme circumstances. If all men were rapists, then we would never try to negotiate for sex. just hit the woman over the head with a club and drag her back to the cave. No money spent at all.

This is a silly comparison. AWALT covers behavior that is commonly seen among women. The vast majority of men are not rapists. It would be like comparing all snakes can bite to all cars have the potential to explode when you turn them on.

That being said, women should take common sense precautions but the comparison to AWALT is silly.
