It is. Commitment is inherently a losing scenario from a man's perspective because, even if he's a Chad, he's on a lower plane then her, and women, being hypergamous, cannot and will not tolerate that. This explains why even Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck were shown the divorce papers. They committed to Angelina and Jennifer and thereby made themselves inferior and subordinate to them, hence why we see Ben on the street recently looking like he was begging Jennifer to come back to him.

I preach the importance of looks on this sub, but the fact is, anything a man does to make himself "lower" in the eyes of women will doom him, even if he looks like a Greek god. Society needs marriage and stable families in order for children to grow up in healthy environments, so I'm not arguing here against marriage, but "commitment" - vaguely agreed upon by both parties and subject to their whims and feelings - should not be the foundation of that. Every society and civilization across the world up until the 20th century understood that. Marriage needs to be ironclad and binding. "Commitment" is a discredited concept.
