The fact is most TRP men would not argue with you if you made the argument that alpha men who've slept around a lot make for good long term partners. One of the basic concepts behind TRP is rooted in the idea that most women are attracted to alpha males who generally don't make for reliable long term partners. Eventually a woman realises this and starts looking for a "betabux" type B or C character male who's more stable to raise a family with.

Slutty men and slutty women are terrible choices for life partners in the long run. Slutty men at least have the benefit of having attractive physical, material and personality attributes that they needed to develop in order to become what they are. The reverse isn't necessarily true with slutty women who generally only relate to people through sex and rarely need to cultivate any positive attributes to be sluts.

To be honest I've never really wrapped my head around the redpill mentality when it comes to this stuff. Like, a woman being promiscuous means she's bad news, but the entire point of the movement seems to be helping men be as promiscuous as possible.

When Red Pill theory says that this is true and you shouldn't LTR/marry a promiscuous woman, it's apparently misogyny. I personally think it's a rational deduction that a woman who has shown a preference for lots of partners would be more of a risk for LTR/marriage than a woman who's had fewer partners. Same probably applies for men, but since I'm not interested in relationships with men, I don't really care.

From a deeper, psychological perspective, you'd have to try and deduce why someone has become promiscuous, whether there's some form of trauma or whether that's just their natural state. I'm not a psychologist though, and it would no doubt be different for each individual, so not sure on that one.

By the way, have you had that 2nd date yet?

Not inherently, no. I know a few men (and women) who were pretty promiscuous but fell head over heels for the right person. When you care very little about most people you can kind of save it up for a small handful and a highly disproportionate amount of your affections go to your favorite people. Husband has a small fraction of sexual partners in comparison to me and sex doesn't mean anything more to him than it does to me, at least by any measure either of us can discern.

On the other hand I have seen people who had a lot of partners and became jaded and hurt by all of the times it didn't work out and they hoped for something more, or they were promiscuous simply because they more or less have some sort of addiction to sexual variety of that nature. Many of those people don't associate sex with intimacy at all and so wind up settling down with someone who is nice and cares about them because they don't even fully realize the role of sex in a healthy relationship.

I think that largely depends on why you are promiscuous or how you do it.

There are different effects and those happen to a different degree depending on:

Do you do it for validation, gratification or just for sexual relief?

Do you get emotionally invested?

Do you fuck strangers or acquaintances?

Are you promiscuous and in a relationship? Open or cheating?

And other factors, too lazy to think.

According to the study that has circulated around this sub multiple times it affects both men and women negatively, with a far, far greater effect on women than men.

Compared to men who aren't promiscuous I'd say yes, but overall no. In my personal experience and in conversations with other men I see more of my male friends in happier LTRs after they have been promiscuous. Patrice O'Neal has a bit on the Mr. P album called "Side Pussy" where he explains the need for men to womanize before they settle down and it explains what I have witnessed and experienced. The only explanation I've seen is what u/TheGreasyPole explained here as to why this is a double standard for men and women. EDIT: maybe not that response but it was one of his responses in that thread. CBA

A women that is too promiscuous is simply dead as relationship material.

A man can always chose to change his strategy, might not be easy but its definitely possible.

Reality is cruel and unfair.
