Truth has value when other people acknowledge it as truth. Truth has less value when it's not what people want to hear, so they plug their ears and insist only their own beliefs are true.

It's interesting that you even did this yourself in your past linked post, and chose instead to accuse the men you grabbed comments from as being liars rather than accepting they have a different or more nuanced opinion than you.

I currently can't commit myself to respond to everything in both of your threads. But I have a nitpick about your echo chamber thread and how it relates to logic based reasoning.

This is not a good source. The article links to a study that is behind a pay wall. Neither give any detail of how it came to the conclusion it did. The article also states "some studies find relationship satisfaction reported by age-gap couples is higher".

"Some studies" can mean the minority of studies came to this conclusion. Googling age gap relationship success gives numerous other studies that came to the opposite conclusion.

People seem to believe in a set of certain fate-based ideas, such as religions, feminism, human rights, and so on.

Those are things that can't be proven by facts and logic. There are no "facts" that prove that we should see women and immigrants as human beings, it's ethics. There are no expiremental test that will ever prove that. As long as we're discussing normative issues rather than factual issues, "truth" won't matter and shouldn't matter.

The question is not "do we have scientific proof that women deserve human rights?", it's more "do we want to live in a society where women don't have human rights?". Personally I don't and I am a feminist.
