That's a crazy assumption to make.

Not really because they exposed themselves. They’d guess my age or ask it and then tell me how old they thought I was. At the time it was 12-15. I don’t know anywhere in the US where it’s legal for an adult 20+ to have relations with a minor that young. So because they approached me with those intentions despite thinking/assuming I’m in the underage range what else should I see them as other than predators?

Yes see above, they’d guess my age and the guess were all under 16. It’s not as bad now because I put on weight, changed the way I dressed to wearing more form fitting clothes and I started wearing makeup.

Because I wasn’t a minor. I’m 22 now and it’s been happening since I started working at 16. Before actually but I didn’t really notice it that much until I started going places without a guardian and honestly that’s probably part of the reason I wasn’t allowed to go anywhere alone.

I understand this and it’s one thing to find a girl attractive if you think she’s a woman. As long as you don’t violate any laws it’s not a big deal. Some men are attracted to minors though and if they don’t want to risk getting in trouble for being intimately involved with an actual minor they’ll go for legal substitutes.

It’s not all men but I’m saying that some of them probably were pedophiles because of how the interactions went. They would approach me and flirt, ask for my number or socials and then after all this they would think to guess my age or they would ask my age and then tell me how old they thought I was. Typically under 16. It didn’t sit right with me that they thought I was in the 12-15 range yet they still tried something. Then some when I’d tell them my actual age they’d go “Oh.” And the smile would fall. That reads to me as disappointment.

Then there were others that were a little more obvious. When I first started working as a teenager I’d sometimes have customers try to flirt with me. Most didn’t really try to escalate but some did and because I was an actual minor at the time I’d tell them while turning them down and they’d say “that’s ok I figured, we can just be friends until you’re 18”

All of the above men I put into the pedo category. Primarily because I’ve had other men hit on me but they ask my age first before trying anything, men who ask first I don’t view as pedophiles I just assume they like petite women.

I explained already lol. I knew they were hitting on me because they came up to me, complimented me, flirted asked if they could get my info because they wanted to take me out sometime or because they wanted to get to know me better.

If this isn’t hitting on someone then what is it? Where’s the assumption? Their intentions are pretty clear.

Then they’d guess my age and say an underage guess like “so how old are you? 14? 15?” or they’d ask how old I was and then tell me “oh I thought you were ____ you look so young wow”. As I said earlier as far as I know those ages are not the aoc anywhere in America. It’s for not the aoc in my state so how should I have interpreted these statements? They said out of their own mouths that they thought I was underage.

The only I assumed is that they might’ve been pedophiles.
