At this point it's just a more outrage factory than anything. They are overbearingly concerned about insipid if not trivial things. Virtually concerned only about women but regularly has members claiming to be egalitarian. No true feministing.

There's an important distinction to made here, between "equal in the eyes of the law" and "equal in reality." I believe that men and women should be equal in the eyes of the law (except in cases that apply where one gender literally can't do something e.g. childbirth.)

Do I believe that both genders are equal in reality? Depends what you mean by "equal." Are dogs equal to cats? Are apples equal to oranges? There are some traits that men and women have that are different. Whether those traits are "better" or "worse" for a given gender depends on the situation in question, and the eye of the observer.

Q: What does feminism mean? A: Whatever the feminist says it does.

Is feminism sex-positive or sex-negative? Is it man-hating or egalitarian? Does it support equal rights & responsibility for women, or does it push for more of the privileges with less of the responsibilities compared to men? It depends on which feminist you're talking to. You can say "well, real feminism is X" but there are other people who will vehemently disagree with you. There's no "pope" of feminism who is the final arbiter of what it does or doesn't mean, so talking about whether it's good or bad is rather fruitless; the best you can do is point out certain positions that some feminists have, and talk about whether that particular position is good or bad.

Discrimination has a couple of meanings, and one of them isn't bad: "to note or observe a difference; distinguish accurately."

People should be equal in the eyes of the law. The law shouldn't discriminate, because the law is not well equipped to do a good job of "noting or observing a difference; distinguish accurately" the difference between men and women, so therefore it shouldn't do that at all. "Equality" however, is something that law can work with, so that's what law should use.

Individuals however, should indeed should indeed "note or observe a difference; distinguish accurately." Interpreting things subjectively is what people are good at, and we should see things for how they are.

I'm a bit unclear on why you assume I associate with MRAs, and why you assume they hate my guts. I don't associate with them, and seeing as none of them have met me, I'm pretty sure they don't hate my guts.

No. Why on earth would I do that? I can see protesting for your cause or your issue but protesting or rioting for your gender seems misguided at best.

Clarification please. I believe that the gender should be equal in terms of rights, obligations, responsibilites and opportunities, but I don't believe that they are. There are still a lot of instances of discrimination against both genders in this world.

Furthermore, I don't think that one gender is morally, emotionally or intellectually superior to the other. I do, however, believe that men are objectively superior in terms of physical power.

The basic idea of feminism is a pseudo-scientific conspiracy theory that says that men are to blame for everything that is wrong. The theory says that males have always had all the power, which is blatantly, historically wrong. It says that men are to blame, if they are disadvantaged, which I find disgusting. Moreover, the notion that our society is shaped by an invisible, omnipresent monster takes responsibility away from people with harmful belief systems.
Feminists say that they fight for gender equality, but have only ever demanded and received female privilege for over a hundred years now.
A huge percentage of self-proclaimed feminists are inarguably sexist, hateful and insanely stupid.
The terminology of feminism clearly implies "female = good" and "male = bad".
I was force-fed this stupid ideology in my childhood years and now I'm basically allergic to it.

How would you go about achieving gender equality?

Eliminating all legal inequalities via a constitutional amendement (one that is not corrupet by feminist lawyers).
Spreading awareness among men that there is an alternative to the pussybeggar-lifestyle.

It depends on your definition of "equal." Some seem to define it as more or less identical, and I don't believe that. I think men and women are of equal worth, generally speaking, but that we have different things to offer.

What is your beef with feminism?

It's difficult to sum this up without writing a novel as I have several issues. I suppose my main problem is that it is unnecessary in the modern first world. It's a movement for middle class white women, and it has turned many women of my generation in particular into bitchy nutbags. My husband has been repeatedly harassed for calling me his "woman," I was led to believe that men are frightening and I should be afraid of them by default, which caused me to have some pretty messed up views on relationships. Feminism has managed to trivialize rape and sexual assault by expanding the definitions to an absolutely ridiculous degree. As someone who has faced violent sexual assault I find it very upsetting to hear women claim that some guy making her uncomfortable by making rude remarks toward her in a public place was "assault."

Of course I could go on, but I won't.

Ah, another problem I have with feminism. What exactly is their definition of equality, and how do we not have it now? Laws are more or less equal now, though they have tipped in favor of women in recent years. We can't ever achieve equality in the sense of the genders being the same. We cannot ever truly have totally equal reproductive rights. It isn't possible until science creates a way to grow children in laboratories without mothers and fathers. Your average woman is always going to be physically weaker than your average man unless science develops a way to stunt muscle growth in males or give females some sort of hormone in their development to increase their baseline strength. We are currently damn well as equal as we could possibly get.

"Different, but equal". Sounds beautiful, but it's pure rhetoric. In practical sense, two different things are never equal. There is always "Here and Now" where one is better than the other.

I wanted to answer this thouroughly but after a few minutes of writing I realized I will probably end up with an essay, complete with multi-tiered lists. So instead I'll use an answer I used in ELI5 once:

Classic feminism: "There should be no difference between men and women in the eyes of the law or rights"

Modern feminism: "There should be no difference between men and women"

The former should be a world standard. The latter is so wrong all you need to do to debunk its premise is basic high school education.

What is equality? If we're talking about equality of law and opportunity, that goal was achieved in 1972(in America). That is the only equality that should be(for all humans, not just women).
