Men who think sex is a reward are living in a scarcity or transactional mindset. They are self-limiting fools who create their own misery.
Again, only fools see individuals as alpha/beta. Alpha/beta describes attributes that women find attractive/unattractive. They may find beta attributes useful or positive for some relationship goals, but they don't make a man more sexually attractive.
There are two kinds of ONS guys: the guys women know would not make good relationship material, but are attractive (the women are pumping and dumping them); and the guys who are attractive and good relationship material, but who they know will not have a relationship with them (such men are out of their relationship league, so women have sex with them opportunistically - the men are pumping and dumping them).

The answer to pretty much all of your questions is that; men aren't a monolith. Not all men share the same opinions on all of this. Not even men of the same 'grouping' share opinions on all of this. To put it in more detail.

Sex is as much a reward as you want it to be. If someone is truly desperate to get laid and wants it at all costs; then you can go online, find a prostitute local to you and get it at your convenience. I'd imagine most women there are better looking than the average lady. However some guys dont want that, they win her over or smth like that. So to that mindset; sex is a reward for wooing a woman and they complain when the effort they put in isn't enough but a different guy can put in less effort and still get the reward. That's where the complain comes from, the belief of unfairness.

The Alpha-Beta thing is stupid but it helps people categorise other people, inflates their own ego and put others down. Despite that fact that's based on disproven science and on an animal not related to humans. If a person doesn't fit then it means that your world view is wrong(which it is) but it's easier to get mad than actually change it.

The belief is that ONS men are superficially better than husband material men; in that an ONS guy maybe richer and better looking but he's a player and unlikely to stay with one woman and statistically unlikely to stay with any woman he's with. Whereas the husband material guy is likely more loyal/responsible and a better suit long term. The same way you can't make a hoe into a housewife is equally the same way you can't turn a fuckboy into a father.

1 men who are not that attractive have to compensate with their behavior. For example, an introverted man has to behave like an extrovert, so in the end he feels like sex or attention from a woman is like a reward for him making an effort to behave unnaturally.

2 those are the terms to describe men who have a lot of attention from women and men who do not. I think every man wondered at least once why some guys go home with a new woman every week, and others have no success at all.

3 first, because "you are husband material" sometimes replaces "I see you only as a friend". Second, because many men are not that attractive for ons, but can compensate with their behavior for LTR. That's a bit sad you're attractive enough for ltrs only.
