Women are a threat to men's autonomy. We're all aware that a desirable woman can influence most men to do things they wouldn't otherwise do. The greatest threat is that women are aware of this too.

A man looking to gain control over himself, his emotions, urges, etc is always going to come up short. No matter what he intends to do, a woman's mere presence can compel him to change all of that.

That means the only way a man to truly be secure is if women are under control. For men, control over women ultimately means control over themselves.

One example of this is how men tend to be less interested in their children when they don't live with their mother. Because the kids weren't the perk in that relationship. Knowing where their mother was, who she was with, what she was doing, that was the benefit.
