It actually makes sense for guys who get a lot of women to say "Just be confident bro!" or "Just be yourself". To guys like them who are goodlooking, tall or high status that is literally all they had to be to get the job done. It's kind of like asking a trackstar how to win races, he'll probably just tell you to run faster, because for him that all that was needed.

Intelligence is a factor in developing more confidence. It's really a very simple formula reasonably intelligent, successful in school and or business, making money or have a good prospect of making good money, be in decent physical shape are all factor's in developing confidence.

Hard to say without knowing more about the methodology. From what I can gather, they had speed dating events and, beforehand, asked the participants what traits they prefer in a partner. After the event, they surveyed the participants again and asked them who they actually would select as a partner. Maybe they asked "Would you go out with this person again?", or something of that nature. Then they tried to see if they could predict the participants' selections based on their stated preferences before the event.

The biggest question is: How do you define that a person is actually "confident" or "facially attractive," or "kind and understanding" when performing the statistical analysis? Surely all these attributes are subjective. Perhaps they used self-reported data, which comes with all kinds of biases.

So I wouldn't overinterpret these results. All it says to me is that we can't predict who people will actually select based on what they say they prefer.

Also note that the screen grab doesn't specify gender, so I have to assume it's combined data for males and females. This isn't "what do women prefer in men?"

My takeaway as a physical scientist: The social sciences are hard...
