Both believe that they see the world clearly, unlike "normal people" who are just sheep following societies conventions. No, they are among the enlightened few who see how the world really is, because they are so smart and wise and moral. Every bad experience they have can be explained by how flawed the world is, because it couldn't possibly be their personal flaws. If they do "own up" to a flaw, it will actually be a hidden self congratulation, because it's actually a step on their path of self improvement and an affirmation of their worldviews (beta examples and checking privilege).
In short, both red pillers and SJWs are really narcissistic.
