Well after making a bunch of charts and graphs, I deleted the file. So instead of re-doing the work, I'll give you the raw data. I created a PPD google account just to share this with you. Please don't email it. I won't check it and I won't respond. Also, don't use your personal or work Gmail accounts in the group chat. Most importantly, if you're worried about the security of your identity, log out of your google account before accessing the link.

You can download the file in any format imaginable by clicking "File," then "Download As." Then you can mess around with the data in any way you please. If you create any cool/interesting graphics, you can post them here or you can make your own post. As always, thanks for you responses.

I suck at graphs but I went and put the numbers in this online thingy anyway.

Some trends:

Kinda interesting one is that

anti-red sentiment is a lot more strongly pronounced, while red pill is more casual.
RP is also far more left-leaning than expected. Especially socio-political leanings.
RPers are far more often single and not in marraiages or long-term relationships.
BP and RP are decidedly equally religious. (18 religious RP to 20 religious BP)

Not surprising;

a majority of BP is women/other. While RP is mostly male.
Feminism finds even less sympathy than RP.
BPers are decidedly more devoted to their hounding of RP than RP are to their own sub. Even though BPer gain little from it.
RP are on average better educated than BP.

And the "world scale" is "scale that I made up in order to make it seem like USA needs to be more leftist".

No, it's just that politics is global and ideologies are relative. In the global scheme of things, christian democratic parties are considered center-right. The GOP used to be a center-right party, but has changed significantly since the 1970s.

IMO, the world scale is based on politics from all the countries of the world. You can categorize ideologies onto a basic linear scale based on their positions regarding government. There are christian democratic parties in many countries, including the US. In the US the American Solidarity Party represents a center-right platform. Their platform is significantly more centrist than that of the GOP. Thus it stands to reason that the GOP is somewhat further to the right.

Ultimately, these concepts of left and right are defined by political scientists. If you read up on the subject, you'll find that the primary difference between center-right and right is thies: right-wing ideologies generally accept the social order the way it is, while center-right ideologies seek to implement some form of basic social mobility through government programs. The idea of providing limited regulated subsidized higher education is a center-right idea. A right-wing individual would never support such a policy. That's just one example.

I understand that, but you should know that the only reason you're saying this is because of your leftist agenda. You want America to be more leftist, so you're creating a narrative where America is already "very far right". You're using the extremely vague terms "right wing" and "left wing" to your advantage. That's fine, but you're just preaching to the choir by doing this, few people who already disagree with you are going to be convinced.

A person who's already right wing won't agree with you, they're more likely to say that the US has no real right-wing parties. I saw some conservatives claiming that Grover Cleveland was "the last conservative president" because no other president fit their perception of what "conservatism" should be about, just like the Democrats don't fit your perception of leftism.

Holy shit, will you stop with the "agenda" bull shit? Agenda doesn't matter. I'm basically just going off of wikipedia here. Wikipedia has articles to describe different areas of the political spectrum. These are descriptive terms that political scientists agree upon.

Those two definitions coincide with the current GOP and Democratic Party. Certainly some Republicans will be center-right (ie Charlie Baker), and some Democrats (ie Obama) are definitely center-left. In general, however, Republicans are right-wing and Democrats centrists. Bill Clinton is a centrist. Paul Ryan is a right-winger.

And they'd be wrong. The US has no far-right parties, but it does have right-wing parties.

Right-wing politics are political positions or activities that view some forms of social hierarchy or social inequality as either inevitable, natural, normal, or desirable, typically justifying this position on the basis of natural law or tradition. Within the right-wing spectrum, views differ on whether hierarchy and inequality stem from traditional social differences or from competition in market economies.

That describes the Republican rhetoric to a "t." It's the Ayn Rand view of economics. The concepts of "makers" and "takers" is very randian, and thus very right-wing.

Then this is from the centrism wiki article:

Furthermore, compare the policy of the centrist Liberal Party of Canada (LPC) to that of the US Democratic Party. This is the platform of the LPC:

Additional investment in higher education via direct financial aid (learning passport)
Spending restraint (less on consultants and advertising)

This is almost word for word the same type of platform as the US Democratic Party. Raise corporate taxes and/or close corporate tax loopholes; check. Increased investment in higher education; check. Balancing the budget; check. Increase renewable energy spending; check.

Finally, this is from the Wikipedia article on the US Democratic Party:

Yeah the laissez-faire right wing is an oxymoron with conservatives thrown in there.

No. The right-wing/conservatives support having a "small government." That means little government intervention in the economy (intervention being economic regulation, trade restrictions, high rates of taxation, etc) and the social sphere (eg a limited social safety net, few limitations on personal freedom, etc). "Laissez-faire" and "small government" essentially mean the same thing - that the government should interfere as little as possible.
