There will probably be some kind of financial reset. Not necessarily some bloody French style revolution that sees heads on pikes but some narrowing of the wealth gap with social acceptance of work-life balance. More people vacationing more and working less than now. The climate will probably continue to suck with us realizing that it’s going to take way longer than 20 years of nibbling around the edges to turn things around.

It won’t be utopia but it’ll hopefully be slightly better than today.

If you mean dating and relationships: same as it ever was. Freedom and choice will rule, people will get attracted to each other, families will start, world keeps turning. Those that get left out will be predicting a societal collapse in 20 more years.

My prediction is that the sex doll industry will expand and robotic technology will improve, making them closer to the real thing. For men much more than for women. Why?

- Men are hornier and more desperate for sex. They'll welcome the respite from having to approach and get rejected repeatedly.

- Men don't require status in a partner.

When you can build a girlfriend, it won't be perfect, but it'll be good enough for a number of lonely men. When you can build a boyfriend, it won't be good enough for women, cause he's a nobody, without his own status, job, and money. It won't be very satisfying for many women.

As more and more men get sex robots, single women will of course chafe at this. Drama and controversy will ensue.

Society wouldn’t survive 10 years of Covid. I don’t give a shit about the marriage rate or the birth rate, I’m really worried about the fact that we have Abused and destroyed the teachers and the medical providers in the past two years. They’re fleeing their professions in droves and I don’t blame them.

I don’t know if you guys remember but after 9/11 the insurance companies had to pay out a ton of claims for life insurance and property claims etc. I was living in the capital city of the state I’m in, and we had a serious shortage of primary care physicians for a couple years. What happened was insurance companies needed to get back the money they had paid out for the claims so they raised everyone’s rates everywhere, but they especially hit the malpractice insurance premiums. They probably figured the doctors could pay them, and after going to school all that time and running up student loans they couldn’t afford not to pay them, right? Well that was wrong. Doctors who worked for hospital systems were fine, but the doctors who had private practices couldn’t keep them they closed everywhere. Some of those doctors went to work for hospitals, some went to work for prisons because we have a lot of those here, one of my specialists decided to become a gemologist because he really liked that when he was in school.

That’s gonna be our future. Our near future. We’re going to have a shortage of medical providers at the same time that people experienced a mass disabling event.

They are going to be tons of people with long Covid seeking help, needing prescriptions. My dad has COPD and he’s already having a hard time getting the inhaler that he uses. There’s been shortages of opiate pain medication already because they only allow the manufacturers a certain amount of the active ingredient every year, so if more people are taking that medication and they are not increasing the output we’re gonna run out.

I take Adderall, we’re probably gonna run out of that too. It’s the same situation with the FDA only allowing them a certain amount of active ingredient, fatigue is a major symptom of lung Covid. Expect that those types of medication will be of short supply. On top of having fewer doctors and fewer nurses.

I am not sure why there is so much concern about falling birth rates. The world’s population is nearing 8 billion people, we are not running out of humans anytime soon.

It's going to depend heavily on what happens with AI and space colonization so it's very difficult to predict. I'm also worried we're due for a World War that will ultimately bring about world government, but I'm not sure that will happen in the next 20 years.

Eh. As long as there is money to be made society will be fine. Big corporations freak out about the lower population because it means less workers and less buyers for their products. They will cut access factories and still be billionaires.

As for the marriages and things society will be fine. It’s really less about all of these things and just trying to love humans. Modernity was crafted out of fear and greed. We need more love compa.
