Not sure if this is the right place to try and start this discussion but I think it'd just get bogged down in circlejerking on trp. In browsing trp I've noticed several references to "western" culture and "western" women (I'm not using scare quotes out of sarcasm or some passive aggressive criticism I just wanna highlight my point). I'm wondering if this preference to discuss primarily western issues denotes a lack of knowledge/experience with non-western cultures and therefore an inability to speak on "eastern" trp issues? Or is it presumed that issues identified by trp are a non-issue in non-western cultures? I'm not trying to set up a false binary here I'm sure there may be another completely different reason for this that I didn't think of.
