Code d'Odalisque is a small sexual subculture started by a couple from Australia, which is focused on female submission and voluntary sexual slavery.

An "Odalisque" was a female slave or concubine in the Ottoman harems. In the Western Orientalist imagination, the Odalisque was reimagined as a sexual slave devoted to pleasure.

It differs from other BDSM styles/genres in a few ways:

-Not focused on pain or sadism or masochism, but rather purely focused on male (phallic) pleasure.

-Strictly heterosexual, with the female as the odalisque/slave.

-While the aesthetics of Gor are rooted in barbarism, and the aesthetics of "Old Guard" BDSM came out of the aftermath of the French Revolution, the aesthetics of Code are meant to evoke comfort, luxury, and gentility. So no chains, or whips, or dog collars, or things of that nature.

-The emphasis is not on mutual pleasure, but rather on male pleasure. Slaves are (very often) pleasured by their owners but this is at their discretion.

-The odalisque is considered a blank slate her master may project his fantasies onto. The odalisque abandons her non-slave "real world" persona for the duration of the slave contract. She's there to facilitate his exploration of his fantasies and perversions.

-The odalisque isn't treated lowly (beaten, made to do degrading non-sexual things), but is instead exalted and valued for her beauty.

Code appealed to me because I was never really into the whips, chains, painslut kinda stuff. Not for political or ideological reasons, it just doesn't turn me on. Code is less about the pain and physical domination aspect of BDSM, and more about the psychological aspect of one person dedicating a portion their life to the sexual pleasure of another, which can result in some very intense psychological connections.

The whole premise is that this is "purely sex" and there are no feelings between the partners, but I've known a few couples who basically fell in love through this. It's a small community, but its growing, in large part because it seems there are a number of women out there who are into sexual submission and the idea of being used by another, but not into the aforementioned aesthetics and toys (ball gags, studded leather) that dominates the BDSM scene.

What is your take? Red Pill? Blue Pill (they heavily emphasize contractual consent, and its softer domination than, say, suspending someone with hooks)?
