Everyone saying this is scripted.. it may be. However, as someone who has appeared on one of these court shows (just as moral support, not as a plaintiff/defendant) I can tell you that, at least the case I was involved in, was real

I have watched many of these shows lately. The only two I find believeable are Judge Judy and Marilyn Milian.

Of course they're not real judges (Now) nor real courts, but these two I'm talking about do handle real cases.

I read an AskReddit comment some time ago explaining that people in these shows get travel, hotel and meals expenses paid with a maximum $5,000 dollar payout depending on their cases. Then whatever the judge decides they win or lose then that's the amount either added or subtracted to their final check.

So if you have a $3,000 possible payout and the judge says you owe $500 to the other party then you leave with $2,500 and the other party with $3,500. So even if I do win some money I'd still be pretty upset if the judge decided against me.

This one though. This one is so unbelievably bad and fake.

TV Court Shows are structured like gameshows. The winners gets their settlement. The losers dont have to pay anything because that settlement is paid for by the show. Also, everyone (except the audience) is paid to be there. It's win/win.

Let's say this wasn't just scripted daytime tv trash, but an actual real life scenario. Did she defend her right to the ring at any point by saying anything at all like, "I should get to keep it because I'm a woman?" If not, how is it relevant to this sub?
