I'm embarrassed how accurate this is for me.

Yup me too.

Yes!! I have little mini-moments like this all the time, especially when I feel like the conversation isn't "flowing" enough or he starts to look off in the distance about something. (Did I say something wrong? Is he not enjoying himself enough? Is he bored? Would he rather be elsewhere? Hamsterhamsterhamsterhamster). Then a minute later he'll say something totally unrelated, "I think I figured out how to repair the blinker on my car". sigh

Hey... Who stole my diary?

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is like the perfect definition of hamstering. You just keep going down this dark path, trying to figure out what's wrong and then ....there's nothing at the end of the path, and you are all wound up and worried for nothing!

The nice part about men is that when they say nothing's wrong, they actually mean it!

You know guys have their doubts and overthink things just as much as women do?

[–]StingrayVC 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I love these memes. So much truth and done in such a hilarious way.

[–]TempestTcup4 points 10 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

OMG, it is so true, LOL!

[–]StingrayVC 3 points4 points5 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think it was seeing one of these memes that finally sent the concept of the hamster home for me. I understood it before this, but this really made it concrete in my mind. It was like a slap upside the head.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is a beyond perfect example of men's thinking versus women's thinking! Cracking up right now.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Lol this is one of my favorites!

[–]tintedlipbalm 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I've always loved this one! Realistically depicts how the hamster runs and runs.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I laugh at this every time I see it, and it is SO accurate! I've had a similar crazy train of thought at least once, and usually on his end, it's always been something so simple that I overlooked because I was too busy overthinking it all.

It reminds me to slow down every time I worry about something that's happened with a guy! It's made dating much easier than it would have been previously.

This is fairly funny. Although I think a lot of angst could have been saved it the guy just said: "Yeah, I'm thinking about the motorcycle and why it wont start." The woman would have (if she was smart) understood and not worried about the restricted convo et all.

Also: a lot of angst could have been saved if she just didn't let it bother her.

Whatever.

EDIT: grammar stuff.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I've seen this and think back to it when my mind starts to hamster! Love it!

[–]Snizzledizzlemcfizzl 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

But would it be so hard to just say, "I'm a bit frustrated that my bike won't start"?

Thor's comment on Imgur is spot on...

The problem is that women try to analyse men as if they're women

That is the longest couch in the universe.
