we bought a house! I'm am so so so excited to own a place together. I still get silly insecurity from time to time, but seriously, would he put his life savings into a joint home if he wasn't in for the long haul?

the house is just perfect for us. it's big and sunny and airy and has a space for his workshop and it's in a GREAT area and it has a spare room for when we, ahem, grow.

we were sure it was going to go for far more than we wanted to spend, but we went along to the auction just out of interest. SO performed perfectly and half an hour later we were signing contracts well within our budget.

This TED talk about procrastination. I relate to it sooooo much. It's an insanely accurate representation of my brain. I feel better knowing there are at least a few other people out there who will randomly explore the streets of some far away country with Google Earth instead of... you know... actually do something productive.

Also, it goes from very lighthearted and funny to quite deep and meaningful in a split second (when he starts talking about procrastination with deadlines vs procrastination without deadlines).

How do I tell my MIL that I do not appreciate her badmouthing my Parents to her other children? I understand that she is feeling like she is better then them academically, but arrogance is not ok and her feelings ought to remain private?

Anyone else obsessed with all of the new stuff coming from Wikileaks? My excitement for it all has definitely gone from like a 4 to an 11 on a 1-10 scale. Definitely bought my first MAGA hat today along with a Women for Trump button. :)
