HA! That was totally my job and I was going to be good and set an alarm and then I recall the specific moment I got swept up in IRC chat with you folks and failed my RPWifely duties. Cooch will be so disappointed in me ): You, however, are the hero Gotham needs.

The Good: Things going super swell with R! I actually got reached out to regarding a potential job (I wasn't applying, I was just remembered by someone I talked to over a year ago). It had the potential to be a great gig but it would have involved a relocation. I told R while I was in the 'information gathering' stage, and he expressed "well that would not be ideal and I'm not thrilled but definitely apply and we can deal with it later". I told him whatever ended up happening it wouldn't have a negative effect on us, and not to worry (because by my logic, we would talk it out and if a course of action threatened us negatively...we wouldn't take that course of action). His response was "with anyone else who told me not to worry, I wouldn't worry: I would plan. I would plan for every contingency and have a list of steps and substeps to follow at every possible juncture. When you tell me not to worry...I don't. I know you wouldn't say it if you didn't mean it." That was a really huge compliment. And the job ended up not being something that would be beneficial to consider by any metric so I gave them a polite 'no thanks' and it ended up being a non-issue. But I appreciated the vote of confidence he gave me. Also, R started training me at the gym starting today - exciting!

The Bad: R and I had to wake up at 5am today to hit the gym before work. I was supposed to get to bed between 9-10pm last night, but I ended up having an errand to run and managing my time less than ideally and didn't get to sleep until a little after 11pm. I definitely felt it this morning but we still hustled so overall not a huge error.

The Ugly: forgot to do this post IM SORRY COOCH.

Time seems to be running together end to end and the past month has been a blur. SO's house is close to being done with the renovations (he's doing most of the work himself) and the plan still is to move in together mid-October! I'm both excited and nervous at the same time. You learn a lot about someone when you live with them!

It's funny, one of the things he says he's looking forward to the most is my cooking, and oddly enough I'm looking forward to having someone else to cook for regularly too. It's hard when you don't live very close (it's about a 45min drive, and he also travels for work) and he is so busy and overworked that it is rare that I actually get to cook dinner for him, at dinnertime! There have been a few times where I've bought food to cook and had to push it off so long because of work and scheduling problems that I had to cook it for myself quickly before it went bad :P This actually happened this past week. Oh well. More leftovers for lunch for me.

I've also been a bit overwhelmed with being in charge with redecorating everything, picking paint colors, floors, etc. I did not realize how truly hands-off he wanted to be in that area until recently. I also have to choose things that are more neutral since his intent is to flip the house and sell it and then buy a bigger house in a year or two, so I can't choose things that have more.. personality in case the new owners hate it. I don't know anything about hardwood floors vs. recycled vs. laminate ya'll. There's so many choices out there. He literally took me to a flooring store and said "Well, which do you like" and I just had no idea.

Well, I'm rambling. Nothing Bad or Ugly this past week. Just focusing on getting through until October where we can finally relax and settle in together, in my favorite season (autumn) :)

Good. I'm totally chill on vacation. Nothing to report. Can't wait to read up on all the posts I'm missing. :D. Thank jade for posting this.

Good: I started working out again! Mostly cardio for now, and it's mostly dancing to music, but it still gets me to spend calories in a fun way :)

Bad: My husband had severe hay fever symptoms this weekend because we went to a place with lots of ragweed and other plants. It put him in a bad mood, and at one point he snapped at me (which he never does). Instead of remaining calm and realizing that he snapped at me because of his allergies, I snapped back at him. I immediately apologized profusely, but I definitely should have been more considerate.

Ugly: I ate waaaay too much meat at family reunions, and I ate pork (which I don't digest well). I felt physically awful for at least two days.

THE GOOD: Stuck to my exercise schedule, ate right, did my hair and makeup everyday, made 3 meals from scratch, WROTE A POST FOR RPWi (!!), started a new book. THE BAD: A new semester of school has started and I am not as organized as I should be. I didn't get to volunteer this week at my charities because of poor planning. THE UGLY: Nothing, yay!

Good: We are closing on our first house on Friday!! I am sooooo incredibly excited! I've put together meal plans and cleaning routines and workouts and such - I'm ready to be a kickass housekeeper!

Bad: Work is rough right now. We're short-staffed, and everyday, someone is calling in because of major issues, and it's starting to wear the team down :( Hopefully, the crisis will stop soon.

I also got called in to take care of a young lady who had a heart attack when she went into labor, and it was terribly stressful. My heart broke when her husband came in to see her, still asleep and bloody and hanging on to dear life by a thread. I found out later she pulled through and we didn't need to put her on life support.... but it makes you realize the fragility of human life and how quickly things can change. I hugged my husband extra tight that night.

Ugly: I am so freaking sick. Sinus infection, ear infections, and now an upper respiratory infection. The team can't handle me being off, so I've been working anyways (I justify working sick because I always wear a mask for OR work). Lucky, my husband knows sinus problems inside and our has been taking good care of me!

The coming week will be dedicated to eliminating 5 Weeks worth of Weekly reports (apprenticeship Journals) wich i need to correct, reading up on Asatru and deciding wich school our Son will attend. (No, InLaws may voice opinions but ultimately my Husband and I will decide ourselves)

Good: I'm getting back on track with the housework after all of this craziness that has been my work life lately, although I have still been coming in an hour early every day and coming in on Saturday. I got a ton of stuff done yesterday while my SO played No Man's Sky, it felt really good to sit down in the evening to so much being accomplished.

Bad: I got hangry yesterday morning and ended up being pretty bitchy for a couple hours. It's my fault, I should have eaten before we left the house because I know I get like this, but I did not plan accordingly.

Ugly: I ate an entire baseball helmet full of pulled pork nachos on Friday. I am exactly as ashamed as I should be, and I will be kicking my own butt at the gym this week to make up for it.
