If you toss aside a good relationship every time you go some place new and feel like you might be able to do better you will establish a pattern that leaves you undesirable and impossible to please. We have an innate drive to always want to see if we can one up our current standing. Red Pill calls it hypergamy. You will always be able to convince yourself you are missing out no matter how amazing your man is because we are wired that way. Part of maturing is keeping that instinct in check when all evidence points to the man you have being high value even if you stumble across one who is a little higher at some point. Being able to keep this in check increases our value as women.

At some point chasing something "better" will only leave you losing what you had and what you were going after. At that point you screwed yourself and asking where all the good men, even though you left a trail of them behind you.

If you aren't content with yourself and happy with what you have then you need to figure your shit out. Otherwise you will at more then just your relationship.

So something that hasn't been touched on yet is if your relationship is actually any good. Lots of people fall in love with people in high school that they really shouldn't marry. Can you see yourself with him in another decade? Does your family and friends approve of him? I'm not going to talk you out of keeping your high school boyfriend (my husband and I have been together since high school and doing great) but college can be a good time to meet someone. The sleeping around part is overrated, fyi. Focus on LTRs if that's what you're interested in.

I am always amazed at how some women struggle so much with the "hypergamy". I see hypergamy as an excuse. It gets thrown around here too much. You have a will. Use it. Exercise it.
