Some years ago I gradually removed all pants or unisex clothing from my wardrobe and I definitely don't miss wearing pants at all! Most of the time I just wear colorful dresses with a cute flower pattern or a skirt and a top with long sleeves.

I had a great suggestion before on how to start dressing more feminine. I bought some clothes that were very different than what I usually wore and I didn't end up feeling comfortable in them, so I didn't often choose to wear them.

What I did instead was go by the mantra that any outfit I wore should, if worn by a man, make him look like a cross dresser. Whether this was nice jeans and a feminine shirt or a long jacket over a t-shirt, I wore the clothes that I already had in more feminine ways. I was far more comfortable doing it that way and when I buy clothes now, I'm gradually drifting towards more and more feminine outfits.

I would recommend trying to find people with your same type of aesthetic instead of steering towards being ultra-feminine or Stepford housewife. I get as many, if not more compliments in a white tee/black jean combo vs. dresses/skirts.

First and foremost, the length of my hair makes me look decidedly female from a distance. I have hair that comes down to the small of my back and I wear it down most of the time, so that helps.

I think learning to walk in heels/wearing heels is the most feminine thing I have done, simply because it forces me to move slower and it is an accessory that is highly associated to females.

Also, wearing more dresses and skirts. I'm not for crazy frilly silhouettes or materials but a simple casual A-line dress/skirt is a nice staple to have.

I've recently gotten into following The Sartorialist blog just to see how people style clothes. It has a variety of styles featured in it (some good, some meh) but I like it for inspiration and to try new things. Otherwise, I just stick with the classics.

I highly recommend Aly Art's youtube channel. Her vids are really great because she helps you learn more about your body type and what will look best on you, she really emphasizes natural beauty and femininity.
