Good day to all!

It is often said that TRP is amoral, which is not the same as immoral. Here at RPW, we like to apply RP theory into practice within the context of a LTR or marriage. In order to do so successfully, a person needs to be appealing in both SMV and RMV. While no one around here will give you an exact moral code, certain behavior patterns are better to engage in for a variety of reasons. Today, let's discuss some of these as they are applied within the context of a LTR.

Why are games played?

Simple. Because they work!

Over at TRP, there is extensive discussion on game. In fact, if you read around there you may conclude that all of sexuality is a game! This is because sexuality is indeed a game or a dance if you will. Men and women dance around each other, he makes a move, she makes a move, then he makes a move and on and on the game goes. If you play the game right, you increase your chances of winning, if you're a lousy player, you'll lose more often.

The sexual game is what it is. It is amoral. Morals can dictate when/where/how/with whom you'll play this game, but the rules of the actual game are amoral. Certain things are attractive or not attractive because that's how they are, not because men or women are good or bad people. OTOH, certain moves, especially certain advances moves can be immoral as well. I'm not here to tell you what's moral and what isn't, I will simply give some pointers while trying to stick to practicality.

The non game, game

This would be a LTR or marriage. As much as sexuality is a game where virtue is found in its ever moving parts, that's how much a LTR is the complete opposite. Movement is destabilizing and stability is the virtue here. I always like to use the analogy of a home. The structure of the home must be solid, but it must also be heated. The stability is what will make the home called marriage, the sexual heat and passion is what will keep it nice and warm.

In a marriage, you're essentially playing a game within an anti game setting. The stability of marriage and family is the opposite of the fun adventure of sexual lust and drive. We call it sex drive because it moves from here to there. We call our marriages strong like a house or a tree that won't be shaken by anything. These two don't need to contradict one another even though they will if we don't pay attention. See analogy of the heated home in the paragraph above .

Honesty and mind games

If we analyze the home analogy to the next level, we'll notice that the "heat" comes within the context of the "home" and not in the reverse. If the home was built within the context of fiery heat, you'd have no home. It would be a pile of ashes. So too with marriage and sexuality. It is healthy when the sexuality comes within the context of the marriage or LTR. When the sexuality is adding heat, passion and excitement to an otherwise boring and cold home. When sex happens outside of the LTR, it may be a hotter inferno, but it will also destroy more in its wake and is less likely to last. When sex happens within a LTR, it is able to build and grow and deepen with the passage of time. The sex is better and so is the relationship.

When a person engages in sexuality outside of the context of a LTR, the entire focus becomes the game. When to be available, when to pull back. How much time between texts, how to hold your posture, what to say or not say, facial expressions and on and on it goes. None of it has anything to do with a genuine connection between two people because why should it? That's for a LTR. Sexuality is a game to be played like playing a musical instrument. This game is amoral.

However, sometimes it becomes immoral. For example, if a man just wants no strings attached sex and the woman wants to use sex to secure his commitment, someone is being dishonest and someone else is not being true to themselves. It's only a matter of time before this will implode. The man may successfully play her like the fiddle for a time, but this may also result in her feeling like she was played.

Within the context of the bar scene it can be argued that they both got what was coming to them. What else do you expect? I'm not big into laying blame, I'd rather offer solutions, but this is something that can be argued. However, within the context of a LTR, it's extremely destructive to play such games. Remember, the adventurous movement of sexual lust and passion must come within the context of the stability of the LTR.

Conclusion

  • When your spouse texts, text back the minute you see it whether that's right away or 3 hours later. Don't play games by delaying your response.

  • When your spouse is in the mood of sex, don't withhold it as a means of increasing their desire. While this may work in the game of sexuality as a stand alone, it can be very destructive within the context of a marriage.

  • Be genuine. Be honest. Be the best version of yourself and have a very successful marriage!

Cheers!
