My husband and I dated when I was 18 and he was 21, we broke up as we were moving to opposite sides of the country and knew it wasn’t sustainable. I’m 27 now but we reconnected in February and by August we were engaged! It’s possible to have a break and come back to a successful relationship but the people involved need to be same page.

It depends why you broke up, what work you’ve done in the meantime to address the issues for the break up, what are your goals, what are his goals, do your values align?

I have been with my bf for 3.5 years we probably won’t get married for another 2 or 3 years. Began dating when we were 24 now we are 27. We are working hard in our careers and focused on higher education as well. No time right now to plan for a wedding and we need to save more as well. We both know it will happen and talk about it often but we are not in a rush as our priorities are just different right now. I’m fine with it. Some will disagree with me but that’s just what works for us right now. You are still very young I don’t think marriage needs to be as quick in your 20’s as someone in their 30’s or higher may want. Just make sure he is committed and you’re not wasting time.

Full text: Was Anybody with their man a long time before marriage. We’re 24(M) & 25(F). Together for 4 years..in that four we were friends for one, together for 2, broke up for a year and we’ve recently got back together after some time apart to fix issues we had.
