Uhm, so, I just wanted to suggest a different perspective (not saying that this is the case necessarily)--a lot of users on r/deadbedrooms say their partners started coming up with weird excuses for why they don't want to have sex when they didn't want to admit the real problem. They say sex never increased in frequency even when the excuse-problems were rectified.

Is he really that self-conscious about "going" fast with his wife of 12 years years who is asking for sex and (I'm assuming) not judgmental? Even when he is in a medically average range? That's a bit of a weird reason to be turning down sex TBH. And conveniently the answer to his problem is wearing a condom, which you don't like. IDK. Maybe worth digging a bit more.

I'm curious about pheromones but haven't tried them. What about a desensitizing lube? That will help him last longer without blocking skin to skin contact. Is this a recent thing? Maybe find some other ways to boost his ego and make him feel more masculine outside of the bedroom too.

I have no experience with pheromone sprays. However, I think it's possible to "train" / cooperate with a man using oral sex on him. It could be very intimate for both of you and both of you can control the time of his orgasm (you'll get plenty of info if you Google it). It’s possible just even using something that can help may help him get over the self-consciousness if he feels like he’s making it better. Sort of like a psychosomatic thing. His confidence should hopefully improve from there!

I haven’t heard of any pheromone sprays, and I know this isn’t what you were specifically asking about, but hopefully it helps.

1) if you don't like them, don't use them. Plenty of alternatives exist.

2) You're asking women about pushing the current limits (stamina) of his male biology. That might not be the right way to go about this, but you're in luck:

Practice. No really, like every single day for weeks. He's going to be a bit 'empty' and will realize on his own what to do to continue and build more stamina. It's not your fight, but you do have to push the issue even when he doesn't feel like it. That's the point. Doing it even when he doesn't feel like it will allow more active time for him to realize what cools the jets and what doesn't. Feel free to DM if you need more ... detail.

Though my relationship isn't as long as yours, I've had bedroom issues and sexual anxiety in men CAN come in later in a relationship, no matter how good his performance is. Men will sometimes avert the issue, saying they have a problem with condoms, with the lights on or off, with the music etc. External or temporary solutions like pheromone sprays (who haven't been proven to work) will not solve your issues. Now me and my bf went to therapy, but if your issue isn't sever, you can probably solve it by just talking it out between the two of you.

Now about the condoms, have you tried other brands? There are some which you literally do not feel. Personally, I would not recommend ANY other contraceptive method because I have a hunch they are not as healthy or efficient as they advertise themselves to be.
