When a girl smiles directly at me, I know she is interested. Not anything trying to be super sexy, just a look directly at me, then a smile. The next step up from that is touching the arm. Most girls end up pulling this off somewhat awkwardly while over-laughing at a joke, but it's fine, it's a clear, clear signal.

Other than that, just be yourself. It makes everything so much more comfortable. I can't stand when a girl is into me, but is fawning over everything I say, and I realize that I could literally say anything and they would agree / laugh. At that point, what is the use of me even trying to having a conversation or anything? She isn't being "honest", it has now turned into desperate, borderline clingy, which is very unattractive.

So. Smile at him directly. Be yourself. If you want a strong signal, touch his arm. It'll be a bit awkward, don't worry.

I wouldn't try to be overtly sexy, most women can't pull it off half as well as they think the can. If he is into you, he will think the small things you do are sexy, not you trying to make a "sexy face" or a "sexy voice".

This is all assuming you are trying to date / get to know someone.

If I'm trying to flirt, I try to be an engaged listener instead of talking about myself. So if he mentions a hobby or shared interest, I will mention I like it but then try to direct it back to him immediately, such as saying, "When did you get into that?" Only elaborate about yourself if he asks you. Smile with your eyes as he talks and say things like "Oh!" and "Wow!" to let him know you're really paying attention.

I generally try to laugh whenever it's appropriate and cover my mouth with my hand when I laugh really hard. No, I'm not Asian and I'm not sure why I do this but it does make me feel a little bit more feminine.

I blush extremely easily as part of an anxiety disorder that I used to see a therapist for. It made it hard for me to talk to men because I was concerned about my whole face lighting up red until my therapist pointed out that many men find this flattering, even if it's only subconscious. When I was flirting with my boyfriend before we were dating, I blushed like crazy. After a while I asked him about it and he said he never even noticed it. But I think subconsciously men notice it and like it, so if it happens to you, don't worry about it.

I also blush easily, especially when I am around a guy I am interested in. Sometimes all it takes is him smiling at me and I'm instantly red. My skin is on the lighter side and my redness is 100% noticeable, especially on my neck and chest. I also get really hot (at least it feels like I do).

As a guy, blushing is really endearing to me. :)

[–]ejtnjin1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Yup. That's the same thing that I experience, warmness and everything! It's very uncomfortable and it is blotchy on both my neck and chest. I wear a lot of high necked shirts and fashionable scarves as a result to hide it. Sometimes I get rude comments or questions about it but I have learned to ignore them.

Just like you, all it takes is a smile from a guy a like and I turn so red. It was a huge inhibitor for me until I saw a therapist. He helped me to realize most men don't care or even find it charming.

The first few months with my boyfriend I blushed a lot and I was sure he thought something was wrong with me but he claims he never noticed. So it gets better. You learn to ignore it.

Kino. And more kino. Plus smiling, eye contact, and acting coy. And don't forget kino.

Don't do anything you are uncomfortable with. In my opinion, you really don't need to touch your date. Talking, smiling, laughing, and being coy are enough. Let him initiate touching you and don't go out of your way to brush elbows or something.

Kino?

[–]SirNemesis 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Non-sexual touching (tapping, grazing, or holding his arm or shoulder, or "accidentally" poking his feet under the table).

[–]MrsStrom 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Smile! And be conscious of resting bitch face. You want to be approachable.

After that, laughing at his jokes and blushing at the appropriate time should come naturally if you're sufficiently attracted to him.

When you feel comfortable enough, stand within kissing distance. Though, you'll probably do this without noticing. It was mentioned elsewhere, but touch him. Even laying your hand on his arm should give him sufficient encouragement to all for your number or kiss you.

Above all else, have fun!

My tip is a subtle change, but really makes a difference: articulate your words, speak clearly, and through your throat so your voice doesn't sound nasally. I took a voice class for theater in college, and afterwards I noticed an increase in compliments from people, mostly men, about my voice. I work as a receptionist so I encounter a lot of people daily, and interact with them and use my charms to make them feel good (I work for a doctor, people are usually in pain when they come in). Be clear, resonant, but not shrill :)

Be careful with compliments. Ones that don't sound genuine turn people off, too many about one thing in particular makes you look easily impressed, too many in general gives your positive opinion less power.

Use them as positive reinforcement for positive behavior. If he tells you he has a job, cool, we're adults, good for you. If he tells you he's been saving x much to buy a house in y years, compliment him-- that's something noteworthy and something you want him to know impresses you so he will continue to do it. Compliment him on his looks but obliquely:

"I love your eye color." - He has probably heard this before if he actually has nice eyes and therefore has a way to maneuver this without much effort into a sexual come-on. Make it harder for him. -> "You should wear more blue, it brings out those fantastic eyes of yours."

"You're so tall." - This is an observation. Voice inflection will make this sound like a compliment but it technically isn't positive or negative. Contextualize. -> He's walking you home at night: "I love how big and strong you are, it makes me feel so safe with you."

My favorite compliment is a silent one. I'll do this one with a date or a boyfriend or a bartender or my father; it works on all men, really. He'll be doing something and handling business. I'll sit quietly and tilt my head, watching him do what he's doing. I'll kind of smile dreamily like I'm not really there and he'll look at me, mirroring and smiling back, and I just kind of pop up like I woke up out of a dream and smile at him and say "You're so great." Then I keep things moving along so it isn't anything but a brief interruption for appreciation. It's an immersive admiration of who a person is at their most candid and it's honestly the deepest compliment any person can give.

Half in jest: engage in more boner-inspiring actions. for tips (although I personally think a graduate degree wouldn't hurt...) maybe consider reading this: http://www.rooshv.com/its-the-boner-stupid

Mostly good. Short hair is by no means anti-boner. But it must be said - graduate degrees have, in point of fact, potentially lethal boner inducing properties.

There is no definitive ranking of boneriffic qualities in a woman, but education and/or intelligence are by their very nature bonerphilic. During the Victorian era, the immediate area near women only schools in England were regularly observed to charge the early morning fog with "a(n) type of phantom glow which had the curious effect of causing male passersby an immediate engorging of the trouser area (boner), making the arrival at work often an embarrassing moment." - Social Mores, Customs, Dress, and Boners in the 1880's. Townshend & Pingwittle.

If you are attractive, then just grab his pecker. Simple as that.
