Get a skirt you already love. Look at it closely inside out. Figure out where the pieces are and then use that skirt, without disassembling it, as your pattern. For real, you don’t have to be exact. Just close.

Check out youtube for DIY A-Line skirt making. Creating a pattern is as easy as measuring yourself and having pattern-making paper :)

Any local WalMart should have McCall's 'sew-easy' patterns in the fabric section, you can also order them online :)

Hey, I do a lot of sewing! I usually go to JoAnns, they have huge sections of patterns. If you look in the pattern books, you can find the sections (the books usually have skirt sections) and then pick out what you want. Once you get the pattern number from the book, you go to the pattern filing cabinets and find it. JoAnns usually has fairly regular sales, so you should never have to spend more than a few dollars on anything.

I believe Etsy may have what you're looking for. Besides having TONS of actual skirts, especially vintage ones that may suit your style, they have lots and lots of sewing patterns for sale!

You would be surprised at how many skirts you will find on Amazon! I just recently started shopping for clothes through them, and it can be a gamble, but I usually have good luck!

You can make a circle skirt without a pattern and it's really simple, just google a tutorial on it and you're good to go.
