I would say that the majority of the time, if a person is continually turning conversations sexual in a manner that is more than just joking and humourous, that person is interested in hooking up. Rarely would they be interested in more than that at that particular moment. Certainly it's possible to end up in an LTR with someone who started out as a hookup, but that's not always the most likely outcome.

If you have continually tried to express your boundaries, ignore the sexual comments, and try to make things more PG, but he still goes back to this line of talking, he is more than likely just interested in sex.

If that's not what you're looking for, do your best to make it clear to him. If he's genuinely interested in you, he'll back off with the sexual comments.

That being said, don't forget that it's okay to make flirty jokes. That should keep him interested and signal to him that you're interested too. But if you're not interested in being a hookup or FWB, be sure to signal that in the way you respond to his sexual advances.

So, you want to have as much attention from him as possible, without sleeping with him?

If you're pulling this guy into orbit, he's either thirsty enough that he'll survive off hope. If he's not, he WILL leave when he realizes you're wasting his time. All you have to do to not be a plate, is be better than whomever he is dating currently, and a net positive to his life outside the bedroom.

What does he like, where is he deficient in his own life, if he never wanted sex, what value would you have to him otherwise?

Have you made it clear that you are looking for a long term relationship? Have you told him you don't put out unless it's within a relationship?

His age? How long you have been getting to know him?

Is he a player? Does he want a relationship?

Is this blatant turn toward the sexual or incidental/accidental type tongue in cheek conversation? If it is a lot of sexual talk and you are uncomfortable, deflect it as much as you can. if it isnt, you probably just can roll with it. It really is up to you. And yes, what Laceandsilks said. This depends on a lot of things.

How old are you and how old is he?

How long have you been seeing each other?

Is this an online thing? If not, how did you meet?

Personally I think you should have a talk with him about what he looks for in a girlfriend. Both sexually and relationally, but make sure the emphasis is on girlfriend and relationship, not just "what do you look for in a girl". Those can be two different questions.

A lot of men will not admit that they are looking for a more red pill woman. Some will argue that this behavior signals he is not enough of an “alpha” for you, but I don’t necessarily think that’s the case all the time. If he wants to advance talks about sex then you might need to advance talks about a relationship in response.
