And after being transformed in many ways after being on TRP for almost 5 years, this is still the most depressing and hardest truth to swallow. It's the one part that I desperately don't want to be true. I actually like most of the other stuff. But I hate this part. Doesn't make it not a valid point but it's just heartbreaking.
[–]xjx547 12 points13 points14 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It's like saying that it's depressing that wild animals don't like it when you pet and love them like in a Disney movie. Well no shit. Reminds me of that guy who lived with bears, made friends, loved them, but eventually was eaten. That's nature. It's brutal and unforgiving. We (humans) are also part of nature. You can either make peace with that and love yourself, or, you can swallow the blue pill until your flesh is ripped apart and you're something's lunch.
[–]Thisismybot8 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I don't remember ever seeing it as depressing. If anything, it's motivating to keep yourself in check. While doing your best isn't a guarantee for a successful relationship, you'll still end up doing okay within other aspects of your life.
[–][deleted] 92 points93 points94 points 7 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link
That's not love, love is a "trust" in my book, and you can't trust such thing, you can't turn your back in knowing that in a second of your weakness you will be thrashed out. You can't really love someone like you always wanted after knowing these stuff, knowing that they will only love you not for because who you are but because acquiring the qualities just stimulating their good/safe/instinctive survival feelings, and that is the illusion of "love", one of the shittiest game nature played on mankind.
[–][deleted] 35 points36 points37 points 7 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
You know, I've been trying to put into words why I don't feel about partners the way I used to and that's close. It's honestly healthier I think, you stay more vigilant and stop depending on others to not hurt you in the name of "trusting relationships".
[–][deleted] 11 points12 points13 points 7 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
It's definetely healthier as you said, you know your place and you know her place, the thing gets blurry when media and society tries to put like everything like a fairy tale when it has become a pump and dump train.
[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Their rhetoric is certainly confusing. What I should've seen before the red pill was that their arguments were likely BS because they were supported with morality not logic; but I needed that pointed out I guess. It's great though, it's nice to be able to have more genuine relationships with people once trp starts an acquaintance with the truth.
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Believe me, we are all "gaslighted" in some ways, so even you thought what they were doing, saying BS at a time, they duped you back into their own lies by our single or feminist mothers, or new anti-masculine society and media, we gotta open our eyes. I was Red Pilled from my childhood by seeing my Red Pilled father leaving the house. But then even I got duped into lies and gaslight and became Blue Pilled for 3 years till this year.

Yeah, I dunno. It's a constant process and I'm hardly an expert. Happy trails, friend.

None of us truly know, man. It’s really about acting like you do and rolling with the punches life throws; and depending on how dedicated and hard you practice, you’ll get a good dodge and maybe a counter in there. Chin up, bulk up and get up. Keep it positive and stay happy boys.

The problem with loving "who you are" is that typically, you need years to get a decent idea of who a person his and can still be quite surprised of her reactions in some circonstances.
The second problem is that a person actually does change so the "who you are" that was in the past is quite different than the actual person she is now or the future person she will be.
To me, regarless of gender, thinking you are loved for "who you are" make absolutely no sence. As you can morph into virtually almost anything that just means you'd expect the person to would appreciate any random person as much but would love you because of your legacy or because she love you in the past.
Just a concrete example: maybe you discovered TRP, for sure your overall behavior regarding women in general might have changed significantly. You are no longer the same person.
[–]DeadliftRx 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Exactly. My ex never understood that although I thought she was a god damned clown in many regards, I wasn't (I was not) going to abandon her. That's love to me. Guess what - she vanished while I was working abroad. And she said she loved / loves me.
Because women cannot love like men. You glossed over that fact without addressing it. That being said, we as men are not wrong to be honorable and respectful to our voluntary endeavours. And, that being said, women and their fake "love" are trash and should never be trusted, to begin with.
[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
From what I see from my friends(men) and also my own self-observation of myself in regards to love and relationships, we tend to see and fall in love with what is beneath the appearance of a woman, like her soul, her true self, her childish innocent good natured being in our eyes and we lose ourselves into that noble "true love". That is the orgasmic and idealistic love we have as men, also portrayad very "exactly" in the Great Gatsby. But in my opinion we're deluding ourselves, who knows, maybe media and society is very good at duping us into believing those kind of things until we swallow the pill and wake up to the fact that they are inherently not that innocent and maybe almost the exact opposite. Those innocent women only love men for their skills and the qualities they bear, those qualities also can be characteristics, but if that men can't even keep with that characteristics for one day, he will be thrashed or humiliated or mocked or gaslighted, because he won't be desirable any longer to the women, because she loved him for who he is(for the quality she loved of him).

It's a sobering world view, but listen, it's fun having kids. And despite all the pain I felt at the time over my ex-wife various betrayals, it was positive in the end. I have four awesome/asshole kids I love dearly, and the pain lead to personal growth. So, take a woman for what she is, and don't discount the value of the children she can provide. If you are wired for it, being a dad is fucking fantastic.
[–]rogerramjetz 8 points9 points10 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I love how you put that. Awesome/asshole kids. I can relate 😎😁. I'm an asshole so I guess I have influenced them a bit 😏

It's the same kind of love a deluded blue pill man feels for a hot woman. If she isn't hot anymore, it's gone. It's all sexual attraction.
Aristotelian love all the way.

The dangers of being taught the incomplete picture.
The friendship "of the Good" is the only friendship people are taught about, yet it is the rarest one. 'Pleasure' and 'Utility' is where the painful majority of all friendships will land upon, nothing wrong with that, but it crushes the expectations of those who never learned about them.
To the uninitiated,
Aristotle believed that friendships could be divided into 3 categories; of Pleasure, of Utility and of The Good.
Pleasure, is about fun. Two parts enjoying each others company either through common interest or pursuit that both enjoy. Once the novelty of pleasure wears off, so does the friendship.
Utility, is about mutual benefit. If that benefit disappears, so does the friendship.
Of the Good, is a combination of the above, but is based upon none of them. It's more about "doing the right thing", virtue and I guess honor. It's a rare combination of both parties having a mindset of "giving, but not expecting anything in return.".
[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
"giving, but not expecting anything in return." All of the above can be applied to relationships.

Not relationships with women, according to TRP.
Of the Good, is a combination of the above, but is based upon none of them. It's more about "doing the right thing", virtue and I guess honor.
The way I see it is that such friendships are ends in themselves, not means unlike those of Pleasure and those of Utility.
[–]UnleashYourLife 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I thought about it for some more and ended up editing out "of the Good" part about relationships. Pleasure and utility is where most relationships stop their progress. In theory they should progress into that stage, but as we all know theory and practice are two totally different beasts.
My theory is that women are less capable than men when we're talking about entering "of the good" state. This is observed by the fact that women are less capable than men when it comes to creation of more long-term relationships; it's all about pleasure and utility for them. This is proven by the fact that male friendships tend to last longer than female ones (on average).

Aristotle said something in the lines of how Aristotelian love implies loving oneself before loving others, or loving others as one would love oneself.
Loving yourself takes courage to stand up for yourself and be your own leader. That kind of attitude is more of a male thing.

Honestly this is fucking killing me right now, I'll never be able to trust a woman's love for the rest of my entire life. Forever. I'll never trust one enough to have children, I'll never build a family in peace, I'll never have a wife that will be there for me when times are tough, when a war breaks I'll have no one to go back home to, no one to build a life with. And its maddening since we are biologically driven to desire these things but they are biologically driven to take what they can and run. I want to wake up one day and realize this was all a dream, but day after day I just observe and learn things that make a majority of Red Pill truth's appear to be common sense.

Tell me, what's the guarantee you will absolutely not die tomorrow?
One lesson as a man you should know is this - you can never truly run on guarantees of end results. You are in fact powerless to do anything except accept a result. You can work on yourself, the process, other people, but you can never work on a result because the result is a future consequence and never something that exists in the journey itself. If you're at the start line, starting is the only thing that is really real which you can actually work on.
I want you to look at the very real possibility of getting hurt or alone, and realize this - you would have never learnt to walk if you thought about success or failure or falling down. You only knew you wanted to walk, so you did.
Why don't you face your fear of being alone by actually being alone for a while and trying to manage your life well?
A part of growing up into a man is to slowly wean off others' light and start making your own light. The more you do it, the more others will need you for their light instead.
All these emotions are a part of the initial stage of disillusionment, eventually a stage comes where we accept it and see what we can really do about it, and that's when possibilities open up. These possibilities are not idealistically perfect, but the fact that they are real means they are possible.

Agreed. This resonates with me a lot as someone who suffers from depression. I’m already living in a world of darkness and depending on other people makes it impossible to be independent. I can seek support from other people but I can’t depend on it. I will have to fight this battle on my own and overcome it by myself if I truly want to win it.

Wise man. Relationships in the past were the woman using the man for his resources, plus being bound to him by necessity. She couldn't get much of a job and the state wouldn't step in and force a big payday or outright support if she didn't keep a man happy his entire life. And other women shamed women who cheated on men. For women, this was seen as a negative, as if she made a mistake in her choice or either one changed, she was basically stuck, while he had the power to leave at any time.
Women felt that was unfair, and demanded the balance of power change, but now the balance of power has changed to the extent that it no longer makes sense for a man to even look at a woman, let alone marry one.
We as men misinterpreted the woman being trapped for a trustworthy woman. They were never trustworthy, it was just that they were trapped into upholding their end of the bargain, for better or worse, because the alternative was worse. That's no longer the case, and a wise man realizes it. Now you have an inherently selfish, untrustworthy person who is no longer tethered by the government or society. Surprise, she is still solely looking out for her own interests as before, but she no longer needs to be trustworthy to get cash and prizes. So she's not going to act that way any more. But it was never because she was trustworthy, it was because she was selfish. They still are.

This is literally the ultimate break in frame. So much propaganda that a woman is supposed to be there for you when you need her; but the irony is that needing and asking for help - especially emotional support - is Beta and thus subjects you to "nexting".
OTOH, you can build a life with the right woman, but the price is eternal vigilance.

Alpha in video games? Lol
First of all, both men and women are incapable of loving unconditionally. We’ve developed this concept of love during our evolutionary process, because it benefits us. Love is selfish, but we never feel selfish. When we’ve been hurt by someone it’s easy to call them selfish. It’s much more difficult to realize that about yourself. You will not love a girl who doesn’t bring you value, period. It’s the same with women. We just value different things.
Don’t believe me? Ask yourself genuinely, if your girl starts acting bitchy, gets fat, grows a mustache, and stops fucking you, will you still “love” her?
Second, Rollo is not God, he is only a person, and his opinion is just his opinion. It’s not absolute truth.
[–]thrownaway2thewind 8 points9 points10 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
starts acting bitchy, gets fat, grows a mustache, and stops fucking you, will you still “love” her?
Actually yeah, my intention was to grow old with someone in the first place. I love a person for who they are not what they provide to me. Haven't you've loved someone despite their flaws or issues? If I loved someone enough to marry them and they go into a coma I would wait there faithfully by until they woke up even if it took years.
But where I'm fooling myself is the hope that irrevocable love would be reciprocated by a woman. They just don't love like that.
Your coma stuff is pure bluepill. A story tale.
[–]youlovethisish 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That intention isn't something created from your own free will. It was programmed into you by fem-centric social conditioning. Appreciate the sentiment, but that's not a fairy tale for us, it's a fairy tale for the female.
[–]Pezotecom[S] -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not to be religious but the Bible tells men to love their wives and women respect their husbands.
I wonder if this is some kind of allude to such
[–]Vasallo7G6 points 7 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link
Women are like a QB they have the ball (baby) their instinct is to protect themselves so they can take care of the baby, just like in planes you are supposed to put the mask on yourself before helping others
Men are disposable so their instinct is to protect his tribe, they are the lineman (we are willing to protect many women, women just focus on one man, there is no second place for women, that is why when it comes to mating its seems like a 10 to 1 ratio, because women are exclusive unlike men)
So when a man loves a woman he can take a bullet for her, when a woman loves a man she sucks his dick but it's not going to put him before her

Some women get trapped by narcissic egocentric men. These type of guy perfectly manage to have their wife sacrifying for them. I think if you are alpha enough, in whatever way that is critical for that woman, she will do everything for you. Think of guru in sects, rock star and their fans, leaders and so on.

Men that women "love" are to women like drugs are to drug addicts.
[–]omega_dawg93 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
there's actually scientific proof of how they get addicted to men (thru their feelings).
I perfectly understand how women love is conditional. What I don't get in all honestly is how this is different from men love ?
Do men really do not care if their wife that was initially young, fit and sexy is now fat, old and do not take time anymore to make herself pretty ? Do they really not care if their girlfriend is always positive for sex or always have an headache? Do they keep their love intact over the years even if their wife reveal herself as constantly complaining ? Do men keep their sentiments intact if there public proof they partner cheat continuously and have intense raw sex with other partner while they deny that to them ?
I do agree we may not be affected by the same things, but to me both genders do exhibit conditional love. We may still decide to stay together for many reasons after love has fadded, but this doesn't mean there still intense inconditionnal love.
the basis for love from a woman to a man should be founded on respect.
a woman's love begins and ends with her needs, esp emotional needs. anything you need is an afterthought (solipsism is their survival tool).
the only thing that changes their priority is the birth of children where mother nature FORCES unconditional love upon them. and that's when you see the real beauty of a good woman.. but that level of love is ONLY thrust upon their children... MEN NEVER experience that from women.
as men we can overlook most conditional things. our love can transcend their looks. nothing you do will ever affect how she loves herself first followed by the love she develops for her kids. nothing.
stop providing TAR (time attention resources) or become her beta bitch boy and you'll find out how little she loves you. and it can happen without a single tear.
[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Women do not love men. They love what men can do to them or for them. I expect respect from my wife, not love. All that blue pill lovey dovey shit does is disappoint and fuck with a man. But a wife that respects her husband, does so because she sees him as man.
[–]netflix_binge 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
What does TRP say about whether men should love or women or not? Should men not have feelings for women?Sorry I'm new...
You can love women if you want. I love my wife. It is more just an understanding that the woman will not love you back.
women and society fuck up men with the concepts of true love, unconditional love, fairy tale love at first sight etc.
women know it's all bullshit and know their love for us is totally conditional... see rollo's burden of performance essay.
but here's the problem... while knowing it's all bullshit, they buy into it and get caught up in it too bc their reality isn't really reality.
they want mr "rich well hung, gorgeous provider, and wonderful protective father" to come along one day, but they also know he doesn't exist... or feel they're not worthy of him.
so both the guy and themselves get destroyed as their emotions & dreams have mental sex, while their vaginas and your mind get prison fucked (without trp knowledge).
iow, learn the game and play the game knowing the REAL rules of how women operate. from the makeup and push up bras to the endless lies and manipulation... it's all a game to fool you & use you as a tool for resources, protection, & children (that might not be yours).

Luckily I grew up in a Latin family, 1st and second generation. My mom told me that "no one [woman] is going to love you as mush as I do, they will say they do, only believe what you see [make them prove it]" meaning a woman will love you as long as it benefits them.
My Father was the flip side of the coin 'NEVER, give a woman all of your money, your love or or dick. When they complain "That's it?" what are you gonna tell them?" meaning be a man of mystery and they will always want more.
