The concept that being alpha makes it a zero sum game with women is pure scarcity mentality. An alpha does not care about losing a woman to another alpha, because there are always others interested.

Competition between alphas makes perfect sense, but the inability to separate healthy competition and whether you are friends with a person is a heavy sign of insecurity.

The first rule of success is to make it stable. So as an Alpha within a group you want to widen the distance between your status and those lower while also reinforcing reciprical bonds of loyalty. You become loved and accepted as the "top dog" because your fellow men accept your rule as wise.

It's only when you demonstrate poor behavior that you get the "Shit Test".

All those of lower position Charm those of higher position. When your fellow man stops respecting you in public it is a challenge. As long as everyone stays content in their place things are fine.

Even gangs have times of war and peace.

My point is that as long as the heirarchy is established you have order. The top Loves down and the bottom Charms up. Only when those roles are challenged is there a "problem".

This post is 100% true. I have been becoming more alpha over the last couple months (finished college, good job, hot girlfriend, apartment, own my car, work out 4-5 times a week) and while the beta males among my friends respect me, the more alpha members have been shit testing me almost non stop. They will try to make fun of me, look more physically dominant, etc., so in turn I do the same to them. This makes me look like more of an alpha to the betas, but just increases the alphas frustration.

At work I have also noticed that although my coworkers get on my case more , and shit test me more, i'm actually more a "part of the group" than I was when I was a beta. I get invited out more, talk to more guys and girls around the operating room (i work at a hospital), and the guys stand up for me when people outside the group try to get on my case. It feels good, like i'm doing the right thing. To steal a quote "if video games have taught me anything, its that if you encounter enemies your going the right way".

What the fuck are you talking about? People aren't dogs and we're not fighting for survival on the Serengeti.

People have always fought and we've always fought for the same reasons. Men fight for resources and access to resources and women fight for men. Likewise, men follow men who can help him get more resources and women desire these men. Leaders are Alpha, assholes are assholes.

A couple things are happening here thats concerning. You should never be fighting in social situations. Fighting in places where people gather to have fun signals a few things, all of them shitty. It shows you have an innapropriate amount of personal investment in social perception (have nothing else going for you), lack social skills necessary to avoid a conflict, don't have a reputation worth protecting.

Let me put it this way. A guy like Elon Musk doesnt get into a bar fight. He's more Alpha than any cocky motherfucker you'll ever meet.

If your just interested in getting girls, ya, guys are territorial. But women interpret that as weakness of they're not currently getting fucked by said guy. Men who attract women attract women anywhere they go, why would ever get defensive over any particular group?

Try this if there's even a question. Approach the "alpha" and strait ask if you can ask a particular girl a question or something. He can't say anything but yes without looking like an overprotective pussy. (Unless it his gf/wife, then wtf are you trying to do anyway).

When you are in a small village and you rise to the top, yes, there is competition because there is a scarcity of resources. But the whole globe is a village now - there are plenty of women. I'm not threatened by the success of another man, because I dont have the scarcity mindset.

Secondly, red pill is far more supportive than say mens rights. We cheer other red pillers on towards greater success, give advice even if its not accepted, and in general, try to make life better for everyone on this sub.

Lastly, dont confuse amog with true alphas. Again - they are so invested in their persona that they need constant primping to keep their esteem going. Also, many amogs are thirsty because they are constantly afraid that their chicks will be seeking other mates. This isnt confidence - its a confidence game - huge difference

P.S - I've got mixed feelings about bros that shit test each other. I usually dont have time for childish behaviour and usually nip this in the bud. I cant help but feel that shit testing is a sign of disrespect as they are constantly pushing you and testing your limits.

I see it like a race. If you're fast as hell and in the top 3, people will take notice and try to catch up to your level, outpace you, prove they're faster than you, etc. They're not going to trip you or put tacks in your shoes during the race though. You just rise up to the challenge and either lose or put them in their place. No matter the outcome there's a sportsmanship like handshake at the end and mutual respect.

Women are the ones who will put tacks in each others shoes and trip each other up.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Alpha men are usually not apes with harems. They recognize each other's demeanor and respect it. They respect structure and hierarchy. Watch UFC fighters interact, lots of them are friends in RL, are fiercely competitive and don't give a shit about women because they are constantly surrounded by them. True of many athletes.
