I am a tattooist. I constantly have women around the shop who expect something for nothing. I have even had blatant examples like "100 dollars?!?! But we're girls! We should get it for less." Word for word, exactly that sentence.

I can't stress enough how important this is.

Years ago I made the mistake of taking on an "internship" where I worked in a department of mostly women who would ask me for favors every day.

Me being the beta that I was would never say no and worked myself to the bone getting all of the work done.

I remember the VP of the department, a woman well into her late 50's/early 60's telling me that I was not assertive enough. This would drive me crazy since all I did was say yes to every single request. I thought I was being the perfect employee.

After about a year of this the internship was discontinued and I was out of a job. This was despite the fact I had been offered a permanent position throughout the entire internship period.

I later found out they hired some girl to take my place and they offered her the position I had been promised.

Let's just say I learned my lesson.

The slightest BP behavior will absolutely destroy you in business. People (not just women) smell that from a mile away, and won't hesitate to demand all kinds of free shit if they detect it. The only way you'll hit three figure rates and have a crack at starting to build real wealth later using what you save from those rates to build actual wealth generators, is to RP everyone you meet in business. The fastest way to learn this is to do your own selling. BP completely undermines your negotiating position, RP builds it, RP mastery brings it home.

I am discovering this as well as a young professional. Not only is this true in terms of demanding respect and setting boundaries, as OP displayed in his example, but also in terms of the general red pill frame so many guys post in their stories here, even when it comes to interactions with women in a nonromantic setting.

Even when I was still in school I found that I started having a lot more success with my female professors when I started being ballsy and confident as fuck with them. I'm a pretty good looking guy and I have never had a problem with women, but I always had this idea that I should be more reserved and respectful (read submissive) when it came to interacting with women in positions of 'authority' over me. Well as it turns out that is a rookie mistake. As we know, women are inherently repulsed by men displaying nondominant traits, even if that is expected due to natural power dynamics like student and professor. They were never outwardly shitty about it, but the second I started (unknowingly) applying red pill behavior during my interactions with them, the results were astounding. I began displaying ridiculous overconfidence, being extremely informal and layed back around them, and even throwing some not so subtle flirting out there with a huge grin on my face and they ate that shit up. Always thrilled to see me, saying hi outside of the classroom, asking me to come by the office to review this or that work with them.

All women love to be around guys who give them that instinctual gina tingle, even your crabby old fluids professor who hasn't gotten a good fuck in 10 years. Probably her especially.

I use this same concept constantly now while networking or interviewing. Wherever you go, no matter what kind of interaction it is, you are king bigdick having a great time and making all the girls stare and giggle. You need to back it up with being great at what you do, without a doubt, but your presentation of yourself is equally if not more important.

Yup. I learned this when I was a salesman. This girl had gotten a massive lead somehow and she was new, so she naturally is a bit overwhelmned, asks her manager for some tips of closing a business of this size. Our manager smiles, gives her some pointers, and then says "unfortunately though, trainees can't handle inquiries for premium services over 50k. AKA, the dealsize is too big, we have to pass it to an experienced salesman. I closed the deal, this girl freaks out at me, causes this massive nightmare, and then the manager gently explains it is policy, her hands were tied, I did not request it, and because she found it, 1/2 the deal counts towards her quota. Of course, she did not actually each the commission on it, I did, but she is satisfied because she believes no foul play occurred, she is valued and validated, and she has some gamified bullshit stat - if she wasn't going to miss quota this month, it is worth nothing to her. She of course didn't even realize the manager receives cash in direct correlation to his team's stats, so naturally he will strip a big deal from a noob and toss it to a veteran, and then dangle some consolation prize for the noob. His expected return is higher that way.

Betas are kept happy by stupid pats on the back and company perks. They self-sacrifice in order to win approval, not realizing that after they do it once, their manager / boss has already ruled them out as guys to watch.

Every single salesman who got to become an experienced salesmen, what did they do? When they got these fatass leads, they shut the fuck up about it, closed it, and then updated everyone. No one is going to be mad when you just made everyone 50k revenue in a day.

Don't be afraid to say no. One of the hallmarks of the typical nice guy is his fear of being confrontational. His fear of not being validated. This is weak, needy behaviour. Unless you stand to gain something, like improving your image in front of senior management or an influential coworker, be absolutely unashamed to say no when you don't want something. People will not think less of you for it. They will think less of you if you're a weak yes-man.

Nice guys instinctively default to yes, and then beat themselves up afterwards. They rage internally for being "taken advantage of". It's no ones fault but your own. Learn to set boundaries in both you professional settings and romantic.

Setting boundaries is probably the very first step to adopting RP philosophy.

I'm a server at a catering hall. I work with 85% women. They are the laziest fucks I've ever worked with (women in general, not just these women). I'm a go-getter and I get things done and I know my shit there and the owner has more than once made comments about "putting me in charge". (As an aside, one of my managers is opening a bar with a friend of his and wants me to go to work for him for significantly more money when it opens - I'll also be working as an EMT so I'll be doing fairly well financially as far as my lifestyle is concerned).

Anyway this one chick, who's normally a decent worker, looked at me and said "Can you clear my tables for me? I got a little behind." (she was texting).

I raised my eyebrows and smirked at her and said "What??" and she gave me this bashful, guilty "I got caught being a shit." kinda smile and went and cleared her own tables. Now she takes orders from me - not because I've gotten a promotion, but because I displayed dominance and value.
