Summary: Eggs are expensive, Sperm is cheap.
Bateman’s principle
The relevant excerpts:
In biology, Bateman's principle suggests that in most species, variability in reproductive success, or "reproductive variance," is greater in males than in females.
Females, especially mammalian females, almost always invest more energy into producing offspring than males invest.
This competition results in some males being more successful than others, leading to greater reproductive variance among males than females.
This is commonly known on the Redpill as the catchy mantra: “Eggs are expensive, Sperm is cheap.” Bateman’s principle is the fundamental driving force of the sexual marketplace. Every other property of the system can be derived from this central axiom. Here’s some examples:
Women have inherent value. Men do not. For the primitive society, every single woman was important to its reproductive potential. Eggs are the limiting factor in reproduction, so the loss of a woman’s life represented a permanent decrease in the potential number of offspring, lowering the survivability of the tribe. Therefore, it was imperative for them to protect a woman's life, even at the cost of men’s lives. While we have left the plains and moved into high-rise buildings, our instincts have remained unchanged. This is why when the ship is sinking, women and children make it to the life rafts while men are left to the watery depths. This is why a 250 lbs bruiser beating down a man half his size goes unimpeded. On the other hand, when a woman slaps a man and he retaliates in kind, the white knight brigade is at the ready.
Pareto’s principle: 20% of the men enjoy 80% of the sex. Because women are limited in their number of offspring, their sexual strategy emphasizes getting the highest quality of sperm possible. Women are constantly on the lookout for higher and higher value mates, always looking to “trade-up” from where they. This biological tendency is what is known in the manosphere as hypergamy. Inversely, men suffer virtually no reproductive cost, so the male libido is much less discriminatory, and craves variety. Because the top men are so sought after, the have no incentive to commit any one women. This leads to women fucking the top men, only to have to “settle” for an average guy in order to extract commitment and resources— Alpha Fucks; Beta Bucks.
Lessons Learned:
Biology is root of the uneven supply and demand in the sexual marketplace.
